I just came back from Florida, and an evaluation for my son with Miss Julia and Dr. Aimee. I walked away from this experience knowing two things for sure; 1) My son is going to be fine with a combination of the home program and intensives, and 2) as an SLP, I need to do my job differently. Julia, I feel as it I've been let in on a secret, only better as I want to tell everyone I know about it. I can't wait for my son to make progress, and for me to attend your classes so that I can make progress of my own. The visit to you this week has already changed my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I just returned from the nursing conference in Boston and want to take a moment to thank Miguel Corniel, PMP for getting me there. On the way to the airport with my son, who was heading to visit a St Louis School of Nursing, our car broke down. On the interstate with luggage in hand, Miguel, took a chance and picked us up and drove us the eight miles to the airport. We both caught our flights! There is no such thing as a coincidence. Health care took one more step forward in its role as being compassionate and caring individuals. Please let Miguel know we will always think of him on the way to the airport.

Thank you VERY much for your course: Pediatric Primer. I learned soo much more about children with special needs that I wasn't exposed to before. I walked away with alot of knowledge and applications. Also I walked away asking myself "WHY" is the child displaying a certain behavior rather then trying to figure out how to fix it. I love OT but after your course I love it even more. I am looking forward to the sensory integration courses! God Bless you and keep doing what you are doing!!!

Our family had a wonderful experience working with Therapeeds. I am an OT and a mom with a child who had special needs. I was searching for 2 1/2 years for a therapist who could help us. Julia is innovative and does not follow a cook book when helping children. Julia and her staff not only help the child, she is there for the whole family. Julia really understands how the brain works (as much as we know in today's world). She is able to assess where the child specifically is having problems and target those areas. Once my son integrated his ATNR as part of his treatment he was able to write. His OT at school said she had never seen any of her clients go from barely forming letters to writing full sentences in less than 2 months. I am so grateful to Julia and we are so thankful to her. My son is thriving in regular first grade. Therapeutic intensives with OT, ST, and audiology coupled with diet, and correct supplementation recovered my son. Once again I took Practical Sense part I. Each time I take away with me more confidence. This course is greatly recommended to OTs, PTs, Speech, Teachers and parents. It is highly recommended to any profession that must assess a child which includes but not limited to psychologist, pediatricians, nutritionist, etc. Fabulous job once again Julia!

I just attended Practical Sense Part 3 in Indianapolis and it was even better than Part 1!! Every time I leave a Practical Sense course I have a new and better understanding of my children I work with. I understand the science behind SPD more and feel that I will be a better therapist and help my clients achieve their goals faster. I can't wait to attend another course with Julia Harper. I strongly recommend her courses to any individual, therapist or parent, OT, PT, or SLP that is interested in learning more about sensory processing.

Once again I have been blown away by the exquisite teaching of Julia Harper! I LOVE THESE COURSES!!! I can't seem to get enough of the great information these courses provide. I am a bit sore from the lab portion of the course (I am not that flexible!) but I have a renewed passion to get out there and help my kids succeed. Thanks Julia and Sandy! Hi Julia - I took your course this weekend. My name is Illyana Krivit and I am an OT. (I sat in the back right with the group of girls that new Janessa). Anyway, I can't thank you enough for your knowledge. I now can explain (and understand) what and why I am doing what I do. I am loving my job all over again. I can't wait to take the self-regulation online course. Your course is like a book you can't put down and can't wait to see what happens next. The parents of the kids I treat are in-turn very ppreciative of you as well. I am telling everyone, that wants to listen and even those that don't, what I learned!!! chatting with friends! Also, his handwriting has improved immensely in the 6 weeks since starting the home program. He went from writing 1.5 - 2" malformed letters to writing within a wide rule spacing (less than 1 cm. high). Last week, he wrote 9 sentences using his spelling words, independently WHILE RIDING IN THE CAR!!! This is the kid who would throw up in his car seat if he tried to watch a movie or look at a book while riding. Bradley is very aware that his therapy is helping him and is actually excited to do it now! My husband Mike was very excited to find Bradley standing in the garage yesterday looking at his bicycle which has been hanging from the ceiling for 8 months. He could NEVER ride it. Whenever we tried to put him on it, he would either fall over (even with training wheels) or barely pedal with his head down the entire time. Mike took him out and this time he was able to ride with his head upright. Pedaling was still difficult but Bradley was able to keep his balance and even go around our park! Thanks

Julia, Devin and Interested Parents, Our little Bradley was born 3 months premature. Knowing this has made it easier to understand why he has still retained most of his primitive relfexes. I am so grateful for your work with Bradley and for the Home Program. This is the ONLY therapy we have done with him (other than diet intervention) that we have seen such an improvement in his functioning in such a short time. Last May, he would yell, hide under the table or run from the cafeteria every day at school and eat lunch only if he was in a quiet room (like the Principal's office, unfortunately). This was such a negative experience for him. After attending Camp Integrations and within a month of starting the home program, Bradley began school in late August. His teacher and aide reported he didn't have any issues in the cafeteria. In disbelief, I went to the cafeteria the next day to find him sitting, eating his food (ALL of it) and chatting with friends! Also, his handwriting has improved immensely in the 6 weeks since sta

Hi Julia, I just wanted to say thanks again. I was very pleased with the camp and the attention to detail that all counselors exhibited. I loved having the written, positive feedback everyday. The one thing that I did not expect but was really pleased about was the attention paid to social interaction and forming friendships – fabulous!!! I would love for my child to be able to participate again next summer. Lastly, for me, the opportunity to talk with other moms in similar situations and share information was invaluable. I feel that my child is speaking more sequencially this week than he has before – a direct result of camp perhaps? Maybe the neuronet or brain gym or combination of that with all the intense core? Julia, Even though we have only completed half of our six-week intensive session with you I must thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving us back something that was starting to slip away from us, HOPE. It has been amazing to watch, with each passing day, a bright, mischevious little boy emerge from the steel grips of Autism. I know that we have a long journey ahead of us, but at least I now know that there is a chance that the road will lead to a 'happy' ending. Thank you for sharing your remarkable gift with us. It is truly a gift you possess being able to penetrate the isolating world of Autism to uncover and nurture these often disregarded children. Julia I have attended the 2 courses on Practical Sence and I have TRUELY enjoyed both, (I mean they are a little overwhleming to me, so I am studying the books over and over) but I can't tell you how much they have opened my world. Dear Julia, I had the priveledge of taking your Practical Sense In SI course in February. (Ft. Lauderdale) I have implemented the sensory protocols as appropriate and have seen so many positive gains in "my-guys". I recently was called in to take a client (whom I had never seen) for my supervisor who had been detained. When I came in co-workers were giving me the LOOK. I had a wonderful treatment session and requested that I retain him on my schedule. I brought him out to mom and she said, "wow-I didn't hear any screaming today. When all was through, the director came to me and said, "That was really impressive." I thanked her and replied, "It's called sensory integrative therapy." Thank you for sharing your knowledged with those of us who are up and coming. I am still working with this "avoider-defender", and he is doing well. I hope you don't mind me sharing this story. I attended the course in Charleston West VIrginia a couple of weeks ago. Julia is a GREAT!!!! speaker. Hey, my name is Derik and I'm an OT in NYC. This message isn't topical but I wanted to say that I took the Pediatric Primer this weekend in Queens, NY. If you work with kids and haven't taken it...do so. It deals with development, differential diagnoses, SI, and even breaks up into two groups: OT and PT, to dig into specific treatment approaches. There's also an incredibly inexpensive evaluation form you can purchase for very cheap. Plus, they have 3 follow up courses (for OT)which dig deeply into sensory processing disorders and offers indepth lab experience. Amazing!!!!
