Comments I am a WPHS graduate (Class of '08) and upon graduating from college in '12, I returned to Panas as a volunteer to direct a new club pep band, something I know Panas once had, but had folded approx around '88, before I was even born. I enjoyed being in pep and marching band at college and decided to try to start one at Panas. In searching for information on how to guide and direct this new club, I was looking online for information about the old marching/pep band at Panas when I stumbled upon your site. Very well done! I never even knew Panas had an Alma Mater, or the origins of the school seal, etc. Very informative and very interesting! I would love to hear about Panas from before 1980, especially about the band! If anyone has any advice or memories they'd like to share that may assist me, or if anyone would like to support the new Panas Pep Band, please don't hesitate to email me! Comments I have found that peace-of-mind often follows successfully wrestling with a thorny decision. On this particular issue, my resolution is made: I have decided to go! It's been so many years. It'll be a blast to see everyone? What will I say if fill-in-a-name-here shows up?! What am I gonna wear? I wonder who's changed the most. In reality, everyone in the class has probably moved on ... like the flowing of the Hudson River. I know some have moved to other countries, others moved away to new states (geographically), and still others have found new states of mind. Sadly, I've heard of many classmates we've lost altogether. Although many miles and moons separate us, many threads binds us together. The connections may be threadbare and faded in the wardrobe of our memories. Yet they evoke a strong and familiar sense of kinship that can only come from sharing early years in a common community among friends. Of course this would happen: some of us played in the sand together at five years old; others celebrated a first
