Felix, I was your server at The Penny Farthing in Manhattan this past Wednesday night. After telling you, "I'm going to Google you," and you so surely replied, "Please do!" I had to actually Google you. It sounds as if you have had a fascinating career in music. If you're still in the area after your concert at St. Peters (or was it Paul's?) you should come back down to the restaurant just next to The Penny named Linen Hall. I bartend until 6 and serve until close. I would love to hear about your playing and music. I told you only briefly and without any real conviction but my appreciation for creativity and particularly music has shaped much of who I am; I think chatting would be fun! Felix...Just had the delight of attending your concert presented by Music Gettysburg! What a fabulous performance. I was surprised to discover how young you are, not having read you biography beforehand. Your joy in the music was so evident. Dear Felix-- Thank you for your wonderful concert yesterday at First Congregational Church in Los Angeles. Your playing is not only masterful, it is musical and spiritual and wonderful. Your registration and dynamics-- wonderful! The temptation on an organ like the one at First Church is to play everything loud and louder. You utilized the instrument brilliantly. I was the presenter for the L.A. Philharmonic pre-concert lecture series when Paul Jacobs played the Reger at Walt Disney Concert Hall. The way you constructed the piece from the "blue print" of the score was amazing. And the beauty of your Choral Preludes was wonderfully sensitive. I would love to be on your email list and know about what you're doing. I am primarily a singer and singing teacher and writer. I only just discovered you on Youtube for your (more than exceptional) performance of the BWV532. Your interpretation sounds so joyful and lively I was speachless from the first to the last second. Do you have any plans for a recording of most Bach's Major pieces ? I'd really love to hear your way for the Dorian BWV 538 for example. Thanks for your love for music and the Organ. Sincerely.
