I see you laughing, probably lining your lips and putting on that perfect shade of pink lipstick we were always looking for. Fluffing the hair, adding that last bit of blush. I was trying to explain to a friend last night just how special Sheila was, and after going through a long explanation of her innumerable qualities...I summed it up by saying...to know Sheila is to love Sheila. Always a kind word, always a loving gesture, always a generous heart and spirit, always good for a laugh or a shoulder and a tear when needed, she was one of God's most special gifts to those of us lucky enough to know her. Sheila, hearing your indomitable laugh from my apartment for the last 2 years always warmed my heart and reminded me that there was at least one perfect soul in this strange town. If Paul McCartney was right in that "the love you take is equal to the love you make" - they'll need to open a 2nd heaven for all the love you're taking with you. Sheila will be missed by so many - she touched more lives in a positive loving way than she could have known. If not for her - my life would not be nearly as full - her energy was contagious. She got me involved with the Martell / Bogart organization more years ago than I can remember. I can't imagine our events without her warmth surrounding all of us. Come to think of it, I won't have to - she'll always be watching over us and loving us as we loved her.

Sheila Witkin should be on the cover of the book "How To Live Your Life".We all have something to learn from her.I NEVER heard her utter one bad word about ANYONE.She always had a smile. Even when she was in the hospital she managed to smile and get a laugh out.Going to see her was maybe more beneficial for me than her!I will always remember seeing her at a gig loving the music.I hope that Bruce,Bernie,Sue,Veronica and all of her extended family will find strength in her beauty and happiness,and carry it on.Wherever she is now I know she is laughing and smiling.She will be with us forever. I can still hear your laugh, because that's what we did the most. You used to call yourself my "west coast Jewish motha"....and you were...and I loved it! You, Lola and Cherry were some of the first people (and dogs) I met in L.A. and I'll miss you when I come to visit. I'll never forget what an encourager you were, it was a real gift of yours.
