I have a followup appointment at the Owings Mills office Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at 9:30. This appointment will make my fourth visit to your facility. I am using this guestbook as a "vehicle" to help your team understand my (increased) current pain (and emotional) problems. I find it much easier to write than to talk. When I talk, I end up (easily) getting too upset which causes my pain to significantly worsen, and I then experience an increase of uncontrollable, intollerable, excruiciating, pain flares. Just as important, when I talk, I am uable to accurately express the constant pain and the increasing pain flares that I am experiencing regularly. My ever-worsening health condition has successful ruined all aspects of my life now! Since I am unable to tolerate the pre-surgical pain I am experiencing, I have no confidence that I will be able to deal with post-surgical pain. This makes logical sense to me. My name is Cynthia Shirk and I have been a patient of Dr. Hoffberg for 6 months. He released me from his care so that I may go to another practice closer to my home. If it were not for the problem I have with transportation, I would absolutely not go to any other pain specialist. He has given me more insight as to what abnormalities cause my pain than any other doctor in over 10 years. The thing to remember when visiting his practice is that the wait time in most specialist's office is always long. This holds true to Dr. Hoffberg's office as well. The scheduling staff could be a bit better with appointment times and return phone calls but there are so few pain specialists that they really have their hands full. I would recomend Dr. Howard Hoffberg to anyone in need of a pain management doctor/specialist.

I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SAY THANK YOU !!!!!! I HAVE BEEN A PATIENT OF DR ROSEN FOR OVER 10 YEARS IN THAT TIME FRAME I HAVE LOST APPROXAMATLY 80 POUNDS GAINED CONTROL OF MY PAIN AND REDUCED MY MEDICATIONS BY ALMOST 70% IN ADDITION I HAVE GAINED CONTROL OF MY DIABETES AND WENT FROM 5 NEEDLES OF INSULAN A DAY TO NONE. MY FAMILY LIFE HAS IMPROVED DRAMATICILY AND MY INDURANCE AND TOO MUCH MORE TO LIST. FOR MY ENTIRE FAMILY I WOULD LIKE THANK YOU P.S. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN OVER NIGHT. IT TAKES TIME YOU MUST STAY THE COURSE.
