I chose K-9 Retreat based on very reasonable prices, the testimonials I read, and the home-like setting (my two setters had never been boarded before). It was obvious that I had made the right choice for my dogs. There were redundant safety features throughout the property, the facility was clean and comfortable, and they were greeted calmly and affectionately at the door. Both willingly entered the facility to meet the other dogs staying there. It was obvious that they had been well cared for when I picked them up after a four day stay. If I'm ever in the Wimberley area again, my dogs will be staying with Jon at the K-9...it's divine!

I teach in Wimberley & often take our dog Rocky (Engligh Bull Terrier-like the Target Dog)for doggie daycare & for boarding. He LOVES it there! Jon is always ready to greet him with a smile & takes great care of him. Rocky enjoys being around the other dogs & is always exhausted from play when I pick him up. What I appreciate the most is Jon always accommodates my schedules & loves caring for dogs. It is truly Rocky's 'home away from home'.

I am a teacher in Wimberley & often take our dog Rocky (English Bull Terrier-like the Target dog) for doggie daycare when I have late days at school. We also take him for boarding. Rocky LOVES it there! He enjoys interacting with other dogs & is always exhausted from play when I pick him up. Jon always greets us with a smile & obviously loves caring for dogs. I appreciate that the hours accommodate my school schedule & that Jon works with us if I need to change any daycare/boarding dates. K9 Retreat is truly our dog Rocky's 'home away from home'.

Dewey is a regular guest at K-9 when I leave town for a week or more. He is just a little guy, and plenty of bigger dogs come out to greet him. This is the only place I know where Dewey is comfortable going in and coming out. It's his hill country dog camp.

I love K9 Retreat, it is the one and only place I will leave my precious Ronnie Bear. When I was in the hospital John took care of him, and I feel I can never repay him for all the love and kindness he gave. I highly recommend K9 Retreat.
