Comments I am one of four daughters of Harry L and Margaret Green, both deceased Aug 16 & Dec. 6, 2012, respectively. Harry is the son of Levenous and Durilla (Gwilla) Green. Levenous is the son of Hampton Green who is the son of Elvira. While researching the name Elvira as I wanted to learn more about her, I came across this trove of information and was so delighted with information gathered. Comments My research for information about my 5th great grandmother Rhinia (Rina) have brought me to the Barnwell platation. She was a runaway slave and caught both times. I believe she was running to another plantation where her children was sold. Do you know of any stories past down of female slave rhinia running away, being but in the hole and praying so loud and long that the slave master couldnt sleep, so he let her out the hole and didn't punished her. I'm apart of the Whitlock-Ginn reunion from Hampton SC. Thank you for all your research.
