Glad to hear this is going. I tried several times in the past to locate those who were at Glasgow without results. I served in the RADAR shop from 2/62 to 3/65.

For our Lowery class connection...I found Francis "Frank" Glover in Simpsonville, S. Carolina...He remembers a certain "salt water" treatment that S.B. gave him while he was sleeping. If you don't remember the details I'll remind everybody later...It was extremely funny..

I was at Glasgow from spring of '65 to fall of '67, mostly in the Command Post. In '91 I landed my Bonanza A-36 on the runway and taxied to the squadron area. Looked like a ghost town. I flew to the Glasgow Airport and rented a car so I could go out and look around. Total access to every place on the base, took a ton of pictures. The only person I saw was a guy sanding the lanes in the Bowling Alley.

I was at Glasgow from '65 to '67. I worked in the maintenance hanger as an IBM keypunch operator. We would record the "squawks" on each flight for future reference. Worked mostly with Capt Jack Fear, an RIO. Super guy!! Some of the names I remember from way back then are Don Magnus, Don Johnson, Curt Perry, Col. Flake, Sgt Macdonald, Sgt DeHaven, & Duane Hardin. Duane worked keypunch with me and he also had a rock & roll band called The Electrics. I can remember some wild times at the Eastside Tavern in Wolfpoint. Some of you might remember as well??

Greetings from Colorado Springs! In our aircraft collection, we have an F-101B (serial number 58-0274) that was assigned to the 13th FIS at Glasgow from 1964 to 1968. The airplane was removed from a pedestal in 2006 and we are programming a restoration for it later this year, and to be put back on display next year. Our current intent is to put the aircraft in the markings of the 13th FIS. In order to do that, we need to put together a colors, markings, and insignia presentation for approval by the US Air Force Museum in Dayton. While I’ve been able to obtain a couple of color pictures of 13th FIS F-101Bs, I can always use more to help us with developing this presentation. Are you in touch with fellow members of the 13th FIS that might have black/white or color photos of such aircraft? Any help would be appreciated. Mailing address is: Peterson Air and space Museum 150 East Ent Avenue Peterson AFB, CO 80914-1303 (719) 556-4915 www.petemuseum.org

I transferred from the 14th FIS at SCAB to the 519th on 2 August 1955 and the squadron changed to the 13th on 18 August 1955. Was a crew chief for Lt/Capt Charlie Henk and adopted his skunk Afterburner when he had to get it out of the BOQ. Stayed in the 13th until it moved to Glasgow and I went to the Goose.

I was a T-33 crew chief from July 63 - February 65 when I took a break in service to get out of Glasgow. Went back in November 65 and retired in December 1981. I attended Round-Up #3 and plan to attend Round-Up #5 (I still don't know where all those "Old" guys came from! Maybe they'll show up again. Pretty decent sorts, actually!)

Is it possible to make the 13th FIS picture of men in the squadron legible? Can't make out the names and the faces are pretty blurred. Thanks

My dad Msgt David E Taylor was at Sioux City from '57-'59, then at Glasgow from '59-'64. From there we went to the Goose. To make along story short, he retired as a SMsgt after 30 years of service. For those of you who knew him, he passed away quietly on August 26,2008. It's hard to find friends and co-workers when you are in the service; then I found this site and if you were at Glasgow with his VOODOO jets and were also a 'medicine man' I figure some of you must have known my dad.

My father Ron Nowosatka was stationed at Glasgow from 1964-1966. We lived on Ash St. and I went to elementary school there. Only really remember the housing area. Would like pictures if anyone has some to email of base, flight line, aircraft, base map, etc.
