Kat and Laura did a great job helping me find Tigger. Godiva gave us some great leads, but I think the most helpful was the support I had from them. They helped me make a bunch of noticable signs, post them in the best places, and in 24 hours...Tigger was home again! Thanks SOOOO much!!!

I used Dog Gone Detectives to find my baby girl (Desi the greyhound). The tracked her to a specific area of town so I knew where to put up fliers. The day after my friends and I put fliers on the surrounding houses, I received a call that call that lead me straight to my Desi. Without the help of Dog Gone Detectives, I may never have papered that neighborhood. Thank you!!!!!!!!!

I'm so glad to know a service like this exists. Although we found our little Rocky Dog before enlisting doggone, I found comfort in knowing that they were on the way.

These people go onto PRIVATE PROPERTY with their DOGS with out permission. They go up to a house and accuse them of having your cat or dog. They say the dog smells cat around your house. THERE ARE CATS ROAMING EVERYWHERE in the neighborhood off course the dog is going to smell CATS! Cats are all over the out side of everyones house.

I would like to comment on the Home Owners remarks below. We do go through peoples front yards but never in the back unless we have permission. We ask people if they have seen the animal but never accuse someone of stealing it. Our dogs are scent specific dogs which means they are presented with a item which has the lost animals smell on it and they follow a trail that they left. They are not just smelling any animal. We don't usually look for outside cats because their smell is everywhere & it would be hard to figure out the direction of travel, although it has been done with my own cat that got killed by a coyote. We realize that some people do not understand what a trailing dog does and how they only look for one scent, not the scent of all dogs and cats. That would be kind of counterproductive, because there are lots of dogs and cats roaming in some neighborhoods. We always are polite to people and have never encountered anyone that was angry at what we are doing, most folks want their neighbors to find their missing pet and tr

Laura, this is such a super idea. I sure don't want animals to be lost, but since they will be anyway, I hope your and Kat's new business just flies off the charts with success. Hugs, NancyAnn and Arrow, who is never far enough away from my leg to get lost. LOL

Hi Kat! I saw you on the news finding the police dog. I hope I never need your doggie detective services, but if one of my doggies should go missing I will definitely call you. I'm glad someone is finally doing this kind of work.

Good job finding the police dog. What a cute story. The Star-Telegram does an excellent job finding human interest stories that everyone loves to read. Thank goodness for Godiva and thank goodness Fort Worth has such an excellent vehicle to tell local stories that warms people's hearts.

To: Home owner, Comments like the one you made just show your lack of education in tracking dogs. You have shown us you can use the internet, now why don't you do some research on the subject. The service this group provides is valuable. There are others that track missing children and I am sure if you found yourself in that situation you would welcome them with open arms and a check book! Please find another way to spend your energy, and post your e-mail and name next time.

I was interested because one of my puppies (well, she's almost 18 months old) in Clovis, NM is missing. She got out about 3 weeks ago. They've (her family) put up flyers and looked and called. I'm just sure someone has her. She's a Rhodesian Ridgeback. Her Boxer friend got out at the same time. I don't think we can afford you, but if you have any pointers, they would be appreciated.
