Comments I have enjoyed your races for years,always went to Spencer Fair but I see you have them in Mason City so I will enjoy them closer to home. Dont like the track in Spencer as wll as the old one. Hopefully I can go and watch them there again. Keep up the good clean entertainment.

Comments Sirs: Please put me on your mailing list/email list for races next year. I am already going to the races in Clinton, Arkansas for Labor Day. I am a freelance photographer and want to try new things with horses such as chuckwagon races and the ranch horse association shows. I have been published in Draft Horse Journal, Appaloosa Journal, Mules and More, Steeplechase Times, Practical Horseman and others. From Clinton , Arkansas I will travel to Hells Canyon Mule Days in Enterprise, Oregon. So, I don't have the money to come to your events this year. But, let me know the dates next year. Comments I grew up as a kid in NW Iowa wanting to be a cowboy...The highlight of the year was going to the Clay County Fair and watch my friends in the Chuckwagon Races at the fair...I ran with Ron Wede, and his family was great to me. At one point Bob let me drive the team down the gravel roads during the conditioning of the horses. What more could a young man ask? I idolized the whole bunch. I can't remember all of the teams but it was during the time of the Wede's, Johnson's,and Essick's. I later lived my dream of being a cowboy, becoming a NFR bullrider, and now ranching ane raising bucking bulls in Tx. I loved watching the races when I could at Spencer, Jackson, Calgary, and Cheyenne. It was always a special thing for me. A bunch of damn sure true cowboys...keeping up with our western heritage!
