Comments I Transfered From the USS Grant (SSBN631) to new construction in Miss. for the USS Aspro (SSN 648) I am a plank owner of the Aspro, and I served on board and requalified from 1968 to 1971. I then got shore duty as an instructor. In 1971 I also made MM1(SS)that year. By 1974 I wanted to go back to the "Boomers" but I kept getting orders to fast attacks. Being gone from family 9-10 months of the year is not a happy life. So with almost 10 years with sub service, I got out of the Navy, and Now I work for the Federal Aviation administration, and ready to retire. To all my brothers out there, I wish you well,and a very happy life. Holly
