Great site. Ready to go out and get supplies to make several. After two years of living in our home, we are SO DONE with stink bugs! They feast on our organic gardens too :( Hope you come up with a trap for outside! Thanks for your time, effort and enthusiasm.

Just heard your segment on NPR. We have thousands upon thousands light upon our Dark home on the Northern most sides since that is the direction they are coming from. I watch them fly from the trees. They do gather near a source of outgoing air, however that is only one area. Do you seal around the fan? Otherwise I'm sure thousands will enter.

wonderful idea will have to try it! Hate those bugs.We have had them for years up in the PNW here in Washington State and I think they are heaviest in areas that have pine trees. Ugh. Good job on your invention. It looks like something that might work well:)

When attracting stink bugs to one location in huge numbers - your screen and surrounding window should be sealed tight. Even if your not trapping stinkers, use the fan method to keep them from your primary areas.

I'm going to try this but will modify buy making two side caps to the trap so that when removed all layers fall apart for a less agitating clean out. Re-stack all the layers and "snap" the end-caps back on. Might also make it shorter, but wider so that I see less of it. You are a cleaver man.

Clever idea! Works great! I emptied my first batch from the trap yesterday. I hope I can make a big dent in the local population

Hello Mr. Williams. Please allow me to introduce myself. I am a freelance garden writer. My stories have appeared in Heirloom Gardener magazine, among others. At the moment, I am working on a story about our 'friend' the brown marmorated stink bug. I would like to include plans for your basic shelter trap, with permission, of course. I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Andrew Weidman

September 27, 2014 - Today the stink bugs came - It's 82 degrees outside and they swarmed my house. With this trap i caught 250-400 as they invaded the screen and the house smell coming out the window. Build and use this trap the way i showed you all in the "take2" youtube video. I guarantee great results. Jody
