I have a book club called "Inspirations from Christian Fiction". There are about 10 of us meeting monthly. I am considering your book, "As I Have Loved You" for a book of the month. Hi.. I related to your book in a way that only someone who has gone through this could.. my husband is currently illegal and we are the process.. He was brought here when he was only 2 years old.. we've been together for 7 years now.. I am wondering how did you fix Antonio's status back then because it is SO difficult now! Even for an immigrant who did not make the choice to come here and was 2 years old, and is now married to a U.S. citizen, it still takes at LEAST two years, thousands of dollars, and a risky trip back to Mexico to submit a waiver and pray for an approval.. I was SHOCKED when I got to the end of the book and saw that the story was real.. I almost cried.. it was just such a beautiful story and to know that it was at least partially real was so amazing.. I just ordered the rest of the Regalo Grande series.. and I can't wait to read them.. It was great to see a book that has to do with illegal immigration and is also being written with a Christian perspective.. I'm sure you encountered much of the negativity

(it cut me off) I'm sure you've encountered much of the negativity surrounding immigrants in this country and I am sad to say that it has only gotten worse.. the things that people have said to me are just disgusting.. So your book is very refreshing and inspiring and helps to remind me that God IS on our side which often times I doubt.. and I worry how God feels about my husband even though the choice to come illegaly was not his but his parent's choice.. I guess what I am trying to say is Thank You..

Hi Nikki, I don't think I ever signed your guest book, as I don't remember looking at your website. I was very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed viewing it. Wow, I know Nikki Arana. I was visiting the library and "just happened to" pull a book off the shelf - The Winds of Sonoma. I have just finished it. WOW. I was looking for a new Christian author and nothing happens by chance. My spirit was uplifted. I am about to read the sequel - In the Shade of the Jacaranda.
