I spent 3 wonderful days with a wonderful host, cook and I will never forget Rich's motto- Never trust a skinny cook..... The meals were fabulous the service excellent and I got the rest I needed. Planning a trip to bring a group up for a retreat and I know they too shall have an awesome time of rest and laughter

Hello Richard! We wanted to thank you for the wonderful time we had visiting in July! What a wonderful place to visit! Out of all our stops we enjoyed ourselves the most there.We felt and were treated more like family then anything.Thank you again for the cake your wife made for us!It was a pleasant surprise to celebrate us just getting married! We just stayed at Hilltop Lodge and had a great time! Rich is a wonderful host and made us feel right at home. The rest of the staff was also gracious and friendly to me, my husband and my mother. The food was delicious and in abundant portions, to say the least, served in the redwood lodge filled with all kinds of intriguing items. During supper, it was hot out so we sat right by a large fan, and at breakfast it was cool, so we were served right by a warm fire in the fireplace. We want to stay again, especially in different seasons to see the changing beauty of the area the lodge is set in on top of the mountain.

Our group just returned today from another great weekend at Hilltop in the Dusenbury. We had a blast as usual. This is a very unusual place and the experience will stay with you forever! We visit 2x year and always look forward to our get away! We met some great folks and had a lot of laughs. Rich is a fabulous cook and host, you will never go away hungry and the food is just great! We spent last night at the Hilltop Lodge and had a Wonderful Experience :) The Fontanas were the kindest hosts imaginable and the food was very, very delicious! Homecooking at its BEST! If you can't spend the night, at least do yourself a favor and take a ride up to the Hilltop and enjoy an excellent dinner!

The Hilltop is THE most peaceful,relaxing place I have EVER been and I have been alotta places!My husband and I came to the hilltop for our third wedding anniversary and have been back EVERY SINGLE anniversary since!(except for the 15th anniversary)the home cooked food is one of the most awesome things about this place,but really,my husband and I love RICH the most!You have a special place in my and Trevors hearts,Rich and thats the best gift of all!People!Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a weekend(or more!) We love this place it is home away from home.We are there most of the summer and little at fall and winter.We get to see all kinds of birds and other animals.We also saw a black bear a couple of weeks ago.It is a great place to relax and enjoy nature.Rich also is a great cook and great guy tp know...........

Had a great fish fry,with excellent table service,in a cozy place with a nice warm fire along great dinner guests. The host, Richie Fontanna took time from his busy schedule to talk and explain the history of this historic building which I enjoyed. I will be recommending to my son that he stop for dinner as we will return.
