Comments (1000 character Good to know that there are further proves of successfull drop-outs. I just dropped out of college a little more than a year ago to get hired by a software development. I never really cared about degrees. Bach in school it was an easy life - still getting decent grades without putting any effort in it. But the university "sqeeze as much outdated knowledge in some brain" just did not work anymore so i spend most of my time doing coding for fun while skipping classes. Seems to have been the right choice after all ;) Well then sails ahead over to amazon and get the book - i'm lucky its already on german amazon :)

Soon you're a jack of all trades and master of nothing, and unemployed? How do you determine what you want to pursue deeply? And how do you keep that same passion for the deep stuff when new things and areas are so google'able? I end up with millions of unfinished projects. Where's part two of "To describe a stone?" Comments (1000 character Hi....I've just finished your book, which I enjoyed thoroughly....demonstrates more of an application then viewed in Ronald Gross' book Independent Scholar's Handbook, released years back, as well as my book Everybody's School for Success (which is currently under revision for re-publication). I will be including your link to my site and will also include a book review of your book while emphasizing the entire independent scholar movement (though "buccaneer scholar" has a much more enchanting ring to the cause, and the premise and moniker is not lost on those who believe that we can learn anything at anytime, but unfortunately, we seem to be our own worst enemy - though societal barriers and requirements don't help). While I have a couple degrees, I continually work with those who wish to research whatever they want, emphasizing that the degree is not the key to success - it's passion and drive that can allow us to do anything if we put our minds to it (and you're an excellent example of that).
