Comments Don, Just a quick note to thank you for posting so much useful information about Excalibur Crossbows. I've been hunting with compounds and recurves for years now and just recently purchased an Equinox about 3 weeks ago. What a great piece of gear! I've already taken an 8 point buck and a doe with the Excalibur. But, I am surprised at the serving wear that I'm experiencing after only 30 or 40 shots... predominantly on the right side of the center serving. Fortunately I purchased a spare string already and will replace it this weekend. Also purchased the required supplies to build a serving jig as posted on your sight so that I can reserve my original string. I also found a couple of videos that you've posted on youtube that will help greatly, since I have very little experience re-serving. Lastly, I'm considering following the instructions that you posted concerning smoothing the rough latches on my crossbow to reduce the serving wear. I should probably just send it to Excalibur and get it repaired under warranty, b

Comments Got back to crossbows after a long absence. Excalibur came up as the bow to own. Got a Vortex with shadow zone option and love it. I have changed from factory dacron to flemish fast flight string. Got a great bow and saw lots of text about Boo strings on excalibur forum so now looking to make something good even better.

Comments Great site. I have learned more things about crossbows here than all the forums put together. The information at those sites contains way too much nonesense and misinformation interspersed with good data. As a newbie who is interested in starting to use a crossbow at nearly age 73, I needed good information and your site is refreshing to say the least. Very commendable! I want to aquire an Excalibur bow but am still deciding on which one. If money were more available, the Relayer Y25 would win hands down. But will likley get an Ibex to start. Qustion. Is there a manufacturer's site for the STS kit, or is there at least a part numberfor them? I looked at several locations and they sell them (mostly for non-crossbows), no pictures, $85 Canadian, no information, etc., etc. Do they sell in pairs or singly? I take it the ones you use are an adaptation intended for something else. Best regards Bob Keenan Question A newbie here who is interested in getting an Excalibur bow at the age of nearly 73

Comments found your info today while looking for strings for my barnett mag 300 x-bow. called danny miller and ordered an excalibur on the spot. hope to be giving you some business soon. been using x-bows since the early 1990's and that may be rare in my state. easy to harvest deer in sc and i've never had one jump string with x-bow but sure have with compound and recurve. my theory is too farfetched to reveil at this time. thank you.

Comments Hello, I'm new to crossbows, due to health problems had to give up compound bows. I have a Chace Star 225 (looks like the Maximus bonesplitter 225 with the same dimensions)and was looking for a better string for better performance. Is it possible for you to help me out in this area? I have seen your web site and read your articles and believe your strings are top notch. I would like to order in the future a multi-colored string. thank You
