There have been some recent studies from other regions of the country on the impact of tax incentive programs aimed at attracting new businesses and jobs to a region. In many cases, the state or county ends up paying more (lost revenue) than is collected over the long-term from those new businesses. The situation is made worse due to the impact and costs of new services in terms of busier roads and, in turn, more road damage, water use and treatment, the impact on school districts as noted in the above letter to the editor. Many costs, such as environmental impacts, are never even factored into the calculations. One example would be an increase of impervious surface (buildings, parking lots, etc.) that results in poor water drainage and filtration and increased runoff and flooding. These end up costing the public more in taxes or in the quality of life we now experience in Monroe County. What will be the impact on other ski resorts in the region that already have water parks or are planning to develop them because the ski seasons are

Fantastic job on this site! Very clear how these tracks will be be detrimental anywhere they are built. There are already enough tracks to satisfy all the motorheads-no more!
