Hi We have just seen the 'Monkeys' on TV get rolled by The Eggheads on the UK quiz show- it is on 5.00pm each weekday here (digital programs). Don't know how old these programs are, but the guys from the Club were robbed, well- maybe just squeezed out by some solid experience from those Eggheads- Trust you are all still at those quizzes- and maybe we can have a pint as guests when out and about in UK this May 2013. Very Impressed with what the club has to offer. I am a memeber of King Street CIU in North Tyneside. Spent 11 years in Lincoln whilst serving with 8 Sqn @ RAF Waddington. Sorry I never knew about the club sooner. Good luck with the future.

Hi Richard Dennis and all at Monks Road club If you want any evidence that the web site is working then here it. I am staying in a fairly remote place in Thailand and up it comes within seconds. Let me know how the footballs going Neil please. Doing well in the land of smiles so far, do have a trip to the dentist tommorow though. Not able to spend any money really it is so cheap to live out here. The war doesn't seem to have registered with the ordinary locals despite C.N.N. being on day and night everywhere. Most tourists are sitting glued to it day afer day, part of the reason for that is that is raining all the time. I don't mean light steady drizzle, Violent electric storms and torrential tropical storms lasting hours. To go out into the sreets would mean being waist deep in water at times. Hence everyone sitting in bars drinking beer and watching the news channels. Its a hard life. See you June time Tony

Just a quick note Richard to wish all the members all the best for 2005. Still in Thailand,working sort of, its not easy with regulations what they are over here regarding foreigners working. Of course raging Tsunamis in the South do not help much but luckily I was about 600 kms away and on the other coast ie Gulf of Thailand side. A quick comment for the commitee to consider. A number of us would appreciate whilst in the club access to the internet. This would allow us to do frivoulous things like agree changes to our fantasy football teams and make the changes online instead of me having to go home and make the changes later. It would be good to send and recieve E mails too. It must be possible to have a station on the basis of pay as you go. Could generate interest in the internet by members who are not familiar with it because they could watch those that are and realise how easy it is. Could generate income and would be a first for the club. What do you think. Tony

Excellently laid out site,very user friendly and to a degree,idiot proof.I appreciate the hard work put in by all the committee and can be confident we still have the best club in town.Shame about the lack of cloakroom facilities causing the perpetual laying out of coats and cardigans over the same unoccupied seats every week!..

Its a very good website...but a shame we are not able to have access to the website and the internet from the club, it has to be the way forward to allow members to access the 'www' to book Holidays ect and to be able to have online betting, surfing, and many other sites.....when will the club join the 21 century and be among the first to show the way.

Hi there. Good to find a club that actually has a website - very informative and well laid out, thank you. Thanks also to your members for the great reception on our debut at your club, Sat 13 Feb 2010. Met some lovely people (esp Lorraine) and really enjoyed ourselves!
