Comments As the former historian of the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, I can say that Larry Baran's book, "The Housewife Loved A Bandit" gives a wonderful perspective to one of the county's more prominent crime stories. Larry's writing style is lively and engaging. A good read, well recommended.

Not only is it a great and fascinating story about his mother and family, but it was a great recollection about the Chicago and US that we used to remember. Written in stunning detail and in a humorous way, I never lost interest in the book - read it over a period of 2 or 3 days!

You kindly went and fetched a book the you signed and gave to me. While this meeting happened back in July of COVID 2020, and I’ll blame my then 5 year old (now 6), I have FINALLY finished your book. This could easily be a mini series show. I love your personal humor and my heart was broken at your mothers passing... which I knew was coming! Wow! What a thing to unfold in your life.
