Donna, I am so sorry I have made typing errors in my first guest book signing. It's so unlike me. The print is so small when writing I didn't notice until it was too late. What would a publisher think? Yeeee Gads! Anyway, great Blog.

Hello, I too am a graduate of The Institue of Children's Literature; Writing for Children and Teenagers. I finished in Oct. of 2006. I have submitted numerous articles and picture book scripts over the past year. So far I think I've had about 27 rejections. I have one publishing credit supposedly coming out this month in Health freedom Nutrition's Smart Publications. But, my real passion is writing for children, and will be thrilled when someone buys one of my stories, fiction of nonfiction. You sure are a busy person, wishing you much success in the future. Sue

Hi, Knowing you are a friend to authors, and compassionate to their marketing struggle, we are sending you our announcement, and the info on our marketing experiment. We are targeting 1000 outlets over the course of the week, and would really love your comments or opinion. We have officially launched, and wanted to let you know! Stimulating Conversation about your book provides authors the most effective and cost conscious way "to get people talking." Stimulating Conversation will improve your visibility and entice readers to become fans. We are confident that authors and their books are not being marketing to the fullest extent they deserve. We have set out to redefine author marketing. The "old ways" of marketing were to reach out to the same 30 to 50 media outlets, with the cookie cutter approach, costing obscene amounts of money. Authors had little control of the promotion and the message. With the publishing and media industries changing, the marketing strategy must change as well. We are here to ush

Dear Ms. McDine, I have written a speculative fiction chapter book for tweens which I am planning to submit to Guardian Angel Publishing. I was wondering how satisfied you have been in your dealings with this publisher. Do you feel they have dealt fairly and professionally with you as a writer? Do you have any reservations or concerns about working with them? Sincerely, Rebecca Bruner www.jacketflap.com/wordweaver

Hi, Donna, Just saw your post on Lea's Muse Conference Board and want to send congrats. There are so many posts on that list, that I try to not clutter it. And I also think it's more fun for the posting person to know that someone went to their website and checked it out. It was nice to see your acceptances in both venues. Congratulations. FYI, I write children's fiction, too, though having to concentrate on my Golden Age Mystery novel, Murder Visits Antigua. Will then get back to my trio of fifth grade sleuths, The Stanley St. Irregulars. Cheers, Pat Harrington
