I have always been proud of my Dad John Miller who was in the Americal Div 3/4 11th from 9/67-9/68. I was born 9 months later. So I am very glad he came back home. He never talked very much about his time there and after reading this site I understand why. It breaks my heart that he went through what he did at the same age as my oldest son is now. The reunions have been really a blessing for him and hopefully one of these days I can come with him and meet some of you personally. What I really want to say is Thank You and that all of you are my heroes now also. God Bless you all PROUD DAUGHTER OF A VIETNAM VETERAN JOHN MILLER'S DAUGHTER

I believe that this website has been so great for my dad. I am 38 years old and just now, my father is talking about his time in war. Since he has told me about this website, I have learned so much about my dad. We are so fortunate to have him in our lives. I have shown my daughters (ages 5 and 10) the pictures on this site, and they are so proud of their papa. Thanks to all for this gift. Sincerely, Mike Hitchcock's Proud Daughter

I was with Alpha, 1/20 in '68-'69. I saw a lot of good Nam brothers at the Reno reunion because of Kitty. She is God sent to all the vets. Thanks for the page on Kitty. That was great and your site is cool. Peace and Blessings, Tommy-grunt

Great site! I'm remembering my DEROS date of 40 years ago today. I served as an RTO for 1st platoon leader then for company commander. I was in the bush the night we got mortared (21 Sept '69. After 7 months in the bush I got a job in Duc Pho as Alpha Co. clerk. I was in country from June 1969 - June 1970. I did a return trip to 'Nam in July 1995. Went over the same way I went the first time, alone! Couldn't put a price on the value of the return trip. I remember many of the names from the guest book. Stay well & welcome home!

Hi, I have been surfing your web site and love reading the contents and looking at lots of pictures of you and your mates while serving in Vietnam. I would like to say thank you for all the great work you and your mates did back then in my old country of Viet Nam. Although I wasn't born when you guys were in Duc Pho but my grandparents fishing village was 7 km from there. During some of the toughest fighting, they had to relocate their family to Khanh Hoa, just outside of Nha Trang, for a few years and here I was born. We left VN in the early 80s as boat refugees and settled in Australia. I have always heard so much about the war years. My step dad was a captain in the South Vietnamese Army and had served just under 10 years in the re-education/concentration camp of communist Vietnam, immediately after the fall of Saigon, he was caught in the South and sent to the North bordering China to be re-educated according to them. My Grandparents village is called Khanh Bac (near Nui/mount Cua I think). We went back there a few tim

(cont'd from previous post) We've gone back there a few times to visit. The people of Duc Pho and surroundings (and generally in all regional Viet Nam) are still very, very poor while people higher up on the ladder are highly corrupt at every level of government (words I heard from locals from South to Central to North of the country). Once again from the bottom of my heart, a warm thank you and gratitude to all American soldiers (and Australian and New Zealand soldiers) for all the sacrifice you've made at such a young age to come to my grandparents country and helped fight communism. I wish you all the best and welcome back to your home of America.
