Comments Coming up on 44 years since graduating (class of 1969). My brothers (Charlie '67, Jim '75) and my dad ('45) and his three brothers all graduated from SNS. We all had Mrs. Battersby as Kindergarten teacher (except Jim!). I am currently Assistant Principal at St. John of the Cross School in Western Springs, IL. Comments I was the class of 2004. I should have been the graduate class of 2003 but I never did my homework. lol. I had a lot of great memories from St.Nicks. It was like family to me. Mrs.Gaydos eighth grade teacher and she was awesome! She was known for her coffee and dinosaurs! Ms.Moran was my english teacher and she loved horses, and I believe she still has the stuffed animal horse I gave her for Christmas. Despite all the really difficult situations I encountered as a student, I love the School itself. Sometimes I pass by the school and sit on the church steps and ponder about all the wonderful memories from kindergarten until I graduated. <3

Comments I graduated in 1952 with a excellent education both in academics and spirituality. My 8th grade experience has given such great happiness through the years when I would stroll down memory lane. This is what is prompting me to locate my classmates and renew old friendships and relive the good times we had together. I tried contacting the school every so often but was unsuccessful. I am thrilled to see your wonderfully informative website and hope this will start a revival maybe even a reunion to celebrate our great St. Nicolas educational experience. I taught in private Catholic schools here in California 25 years and retired when my husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 07. My youngest daughter is the principal of St. Mel Catholic School in Woodland Hills. My five children attended St. Mel and I also taught there until I moved on to Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks. Its been a wonderful life and St. Nick played a very important role in my formation. Anxiously awaiting to hear from old friends, Rosemary Allen

Comments I was just thinking about Sister Patricia when she would get her shillelagh out for St Patrick's Day. Also remembering Mrs. Battersby reminding us to put our galoshes on. Didn't know what they were until I saw other kids putting their boots on. I also have very fond memories of Mrs. Campbell just too many to think of one favorite. I know I would not be the person I am today if I did not attend this great school. Thank you Mom & Dad for living in Jersey City & being able to attend St.Nicholas School. God Bless ^j^
