Dear Ms. King: I loved the "refresh" you did in the yard of the home featured in the current issue of Tucson Lifestyle. I also noted on your website that you use a great deal of rip rap rather than river rock. Do you prefer this to river rock? In looking at the pictures of the way you have used it, it appears to have a much more natural look to it than heavy use of polished river rock. Also, I would love to know the name of the metal artist who fabricated the large metal sculpture. It makes a wonderful screen. We live in a Fairfield community, and we, also, are doing some "refresh" of our yard in preparation to list it for sale. We just removed a lot of overgrown shrubs, and cut back the oleanders, plus an overgrown 30+ year old bougainvillea which was planted on a narrow corner of the garage next to the walkway. It should never have been planted in such a narrow spot - as you know, bougainvillea needs lots of room to spread. We plan to use a lot of rock, a few native plants and garden art, keeping it to a minimu

My name is Barry Ferich and I am a 30 year recycled metal artist specializing in custom artwork....I have placed over 1200 pieces throughout the world. Currently I am creating art pieces that are fire tolerant and can go in fireplaces and firepits as well as becoming an eye catching outdoor sculpture when the fire is out. (no one is doing this!!)
