Hello, I just wanted to tell Tracy and Pierce how sorry I am for their loss. After 9/11, there was a website selling bracelets, I forget what the money went to, but the bracelet was engraved with the name of a victim of 9/11 and also their place of work. I received mine and I had Brent J Woodall WTC .. I still have that bracelet and just wanted you both to know I've always remembered you guys even though we don't know each other. I was so young when this took place but I can remember being so excited to receive and wear my bracelet proudly. I hope you see this someday.

Hello Erin, I don’t know if you remember me, but I was in your class in High school at Apple Valley High, and I I also have fond memories of “Christian” club sessions in the art room (which quickly dwindled to lunch time hang-out sessions and art conversations, hehe). We did not know Brent. My husband collects college football helmets. He puchased a WSU helmet on eBay that had a BW sticker on it. He asked me to research what it meant as the seller did not know. I did that today, and we have been reading about Brent. We actually lived in Chula Vista when Brent graduated from LJHS. The helmet is from the 9/22/2011 WSU/Cal game where the players from both schools put the sticker on their helmets. Jim has a huge helmet collection that people come to view; he is going to display this helmet in his office with Brent's picture and About Brent. He cried when I told him the story; we both have Brent and his family in our prayers now. I hope you approve of this use of the helmet...it is meant with the deepest respect and honor.

Hello, I am not sure who is on the receiving end of this email, but it's my hope that Brent's mother and family get to see this message. My name is Robbie Beathard and I graduated from La Jolla high school in 2009, where I participated in both football and baseball. I was the recipient of the Brent Woodall Scholarship Award my senior year and continued my education and football career at the University of San Diego. As we continue to pass year by year from that horrific day that took Brent's life 13 years ago, I just wanted to let you know that every year when 9/11 comes around I always keep Brent and your family in my thoughts and prayers. I am grateful for the scholarship funds I received from you, and even more touched to be mentioned in the same light as such a man as Brent. I wish I could have met him because I have heard only amazing things about him. God bless you and thank you for the hugely positive impact you have made on my life. I attended Cal from 1989 and 1993 and I enjoyed tremendously watching Brent play both football and baseball on some extrordinary teams. Brent was always one of my favorites to watch because he seemed to do everything right on the field/diamond and was respected so much by his teammates (my roomate was on the football team so I heard quite a bit about many of the players). He was a class-act and a wonderful role-model and the Woodall family is in our prayers.

Great website - great tribute! I lived in NYC from 1995 to 1997 and became good friends of Brent during this period. I met Brent through Meg Thomas. I had many friends who were girls in NYC but Brent was one of my few guy friends. I have alot of great memories of the times we spent there before I left for Paris in 1997. He was a rock solid person - both inside and out. I now live in southern California ironically. I have bookmarked this site and will periodically check in for any events honoring Brent.

I joined a memorial group on Face book to remember 9/11. I was asked to pick a name to remember over this time and pray for them and the family. I don’t know why but Brent’s name jumped out at me it just did. I have been reading the Bio’s that I have been able to find, he was a wonderful man and husband and I can tell he would have been a great dad. It is not a lot but I offer my prayers and thoughts to you all.
