Comments April 2, 2018 Oh the Queen Anne! What a remarkable experience that my wife and I encountered our first and following evenings with the Ballards. The intimate experience begins the minute you call and make a reservation with a very pleasant an accommodating person on the other end. Linda is not only accommodating but knowledgeable and inquisitive about any allergies or needs that you may have with your dining experience. It only gets better when you arrive in front of the Queen Anne and see the inviting porch and phenomenally kept exterior. You are greeted at the door just like arriving at a family member’s house and seated immediately. If you’d like you can browse the decor and any of the staff is quick to answer questions about any of the pieces. Service is top notch and the food is of the utmost quality. Our last visit we were seated where we watched Al put the finishing touches on our prime rib. My mouth is actually watering as I am writing this! Comments We joined you for your grand re-opening Valentine’s Day. What a treat! Appetizers, then table side salad with house made dressing. Entre is choice of Cornish game hen or Prime Rib. The name is Prime Rib House for a reason. Best I’ve ever had, including 5 star restaurants. Prime rib is hand cut table side. Where else have you seen that? Air fried baked potato, you have to try it. Any dessert Linda makes is top notch, but try the chocolate cake if it’s on the menu. For those of you who haven’t had the distinct pleasure of dining with Al and Linda Ballard, you will come as customers, and leave as friends. They are delightful. The Queen Anne is a beautifully restored Victorian, so in addition to excellent food, and delightful hosts, the setting is elegant and memorable. I’m not done. There is another fine dining restaurant in Canon City; they charge twice as much as you will pay here. An outstanding dining experience for a fair price, what more could you ask for?

Our tea was so delicious-from the savories to my favorite, the raspberry swirl pound cake. We were welcomed and treated like royalty during our time there.
