Comments I worked for your dad at First Federal in Crystal from 1965-1970. I remember your dad asking me to make oyster soup in the office coffee pot and he ate it ( but he also would bring his fish head soup to work and eat that also) My mother Loretta Olson also worked for him and mom, dad, Ron and Darlene went on vacation together to Mexico and i just ran also those photo's a few months ago. Ron thought i would be a good real estate closer and a neighbor at the lake Charlotte Strom worked at Bermel Smaby and got me into closing. I have Ron to thank for my 44 years of closing.I retired 7 years ago this month but have helped out with closing for the past 7 years. (I guess it is still in my blood) I tried to contact Ron and Darlene when my parents died but mom didn't have the correct number in her phone book. Please say Hi to Darlene and I'm very sorry for your loss. Dianna Juelich 612-799-4061

Comments I worked for Ron when I was in high school and college (1965-1970) I remember him asking me to make oyster soup in the office coffee pot, I did and he ate in all.(but he would eat anything and I do remember that fish head soup he would bring) Ron thought I would be a good real estate closer and he had a neighbor at the lake Charlotte Strom and she was a closer and worked for Bermel Smaby Realty. I got a job there and that started my career in closing. I retired 7 years ago after closing for 44 years and I still help out with closings when they are busy. My mom Loretta Olson worked with Ron for many many years. Ron and Darlene went on vacations with my parents. I just ran across photos from a trip they went on to Mexico. He was a great boss, friend and gave me guidance. Please say hi to Darlene. I tried to get in contact with them when my parents died but mom didn't have correct numbers.

Comments I worked for Ron when I was in high school and in college, starting in 1965-1970. I remember Ron having me make oyster soup in the office coffee maker and he ate it (but he ate all kinds of things like his fish head soup) He was the one that thought I would be a great real estate closer and had a lake friend Charlotte Strom that worked as a closer at Burmel Smaby Realty. I got a job there and that started my career in the closing business. I retired 7 years ago at 65 after 44 years of closing and I still help close when the office is busy. My mother Loretta Olson worked for Ron also for many many years. Ron and Darlene vacationed with my parents and I just ran also photos of the 4 of them in Mexico. Ron was a great boss and friend and I thank him for his guidance. Please say hi to Darlene. I tried to contact them after both of my parent died but mom did not have a correct phone number.

Comments I saw Ron's obituary in today's issue of the Star Tribune. My first job in banking was at the Coon Rapids branch of First Federal Savings and Loan. Not long after I was hired, Ron became the branch manager. He was kind and patient with me, and I have many memories of my time with him. I definitely remember his love for fish head soup. More than once the aroma filled the branch office. Ron was a good soul, and I'm sure he will be missed.
