hi, I'm a new home gardener & I just planted several fruit trees. I hope to learn to do some grafting next year, and I am trying to find information about the rules for grafting scions of patented trees-- do people ever legitimately sell scions of patented trees? how do I get permission? I have NO intention of any commercial endeavor, I just want to play, and grafting looks like fun. I'm particularly interested in the Zaiger interspecific fruits, like pluots etc -- but I haven't been able to find contact info for them. thanks--
