Hi Laurie McGee is my great great grandfather. Maybe 10 years ago, my father sent me a family reunion flyer 1989. Fast forward today after using ancestry.com hints I located Mother Rhina. I started searching the web and found this website and was so excited to see the same picture of mother Rhina that was in the 1989 flyer. In my mind that confirmed my relation to her. My research for information about my 5th great grandmother Rhinia (Rina) have brought me to the Barnwell plantation. She was a runaway slave and caught both times. I believe she was running to another plantation where her children was sold. Do you know of any stories past down of female slave rhinia running away, being but in the hole and praying so loud and long that the slave master couldnt sleep, so he let her out the hole and didn't punished her. I'm apart of the Whitlock-Ginn reunion from Hampton SC. Thank you for all your research.

I am one of four daughters of Harry L and Margaret Green, both deceased Aug 16 & Dec. 6, 2012, respectively. Harry is the son of Levenous and Durilla (Gwilla) Green.
