Hi Susan, I bring you greetings and a Happy New Year from the deep south, namely my home state of Mississippi. Susan, I am an artist and listed on Mississippi Artist Roster sponsored by Mississippi Arts Commission. I'm a storyteller and creative writer. www.arts.state.ms.us./artist-roster I found your lovely site while researching my family. My great grandmother was Susan Frances Walker Calvert - DOB 5/20/1873. She married James Madison Calvert -- DOB 7/3/1858. His father, Adam Calvert DOB 12/6/1822. Adam Calvert married Leah Windham in 1843 (apprx). Adam Calvert's father, William Calvert, came from Ireland (apprx) 1795. All of the above relatives are buried in Mississippi. If any of this rings a bell with you, please let me know. I absolutely love this artist! The way she captures the character of animals is amazing. I purchased a print of the Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds painting and I am absolutely thrilled with it. The vibrance of the color is amazing and it looks phenomenal against my blue wall. Not only does this artist produce great work, but she also has a big heart. A portion of the proceeds from my purchase went to her local humane society. That really means a lot to me as an owner of an adopted dog. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Susan and her work!

Hi Susan, I just received the print we won from e-bay, "Catching Rays," and I felt the need to e-mail you to tell you how much I love it! It is so beautiful and so absolutely expressive! We also are huge dog lovers and have 2 rescued dogs, Smokey and Bandit. This print so reminds me of our Smokey laying in the backyard and soaking up the sun. I know that you must hear often how talented you are, but it is true! My friend and I had the best time looking at your site and admiring your work. I have many more prints that I would like to order in the coming months, and hope one day to own a painting as well. You have captured the amazing spirit of dogs in your work!
