Kathleen, I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, my eldest daughter has lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, my second eldest daughter has thyroid disease (hashimoto's disease),I have 2 sons and another daughter yet to be diagnosed. I have been doing a lot of research on the connection between gluten intolerance/sensitivity and autoimmune diseases since there is a high incidence in our family( diabetes II and others. I was shocked by the number of diseases and the amount of problems caused by it. I was told years ago that I was gluten sensitive but I didn't know how important it was to go completely gluten free. If you have been tested for celiac disease or gluten intolerance and the test results are negative that doesn't mean you are not sensitive to gluten. I offer this information to you and invite you to do your own research because you know best your own family history and your own symptoms. I do hope it is of some use to you or someone you know. Thank you for posting this information. I suspect that I have fibromyalgia too. I have alot of pain mostly when driving my car. I am tryig to eat right, but I cheat. I love my frozen yogurt. I need to stop eating sugar and white flour, more veggies and whole grains. I just have to get my mind set. All I have to do is eat right to feel good. II wish that it wasn't so hard to do.
