Matt is not only a professional teacher but a very kind guy who understands how to work with everyone. Both of my children have taken lessons from Matt for many years. If you're looking for a comprehensive piano curriculum, including music theory, you've come to the right place. Matt has taken my children from the very beginning through intermediate and now advanced music. Matt is very patient and thorough. Highly recommended.

We are so pleased to have found such a positive, encouraging and patient teacher. My daughter Lauren has been studying piano with Matt for over a year. Matt's lessons are custom made for each of his students. His teaching method is both patient and persistent. Attention is given to focusing on those basic skills of hand postion, technique and music reading that are essential for developing into a good pianist and musician. These elements are so often over-looked by other piano teachers. Lauren looks foward to her lesson each week, and my younger daughter cannot wait to begin taking lessons soon too. We are so happy and fortunate to have found such a wonderful teacher and friend!

After searching for the perfect piano teacher that also teaches therory for my son,Steven, who also plays the drums, we finially found Matt. Steven has been taking piano lessons from Matt for several months now and he really enjoys playing. Matt has such enthusiasm and the love of playing the piano and it carries over to his students. Matt is friendly and patient. He easily connects with his studentsand customizes their lesson plans. Mr. Testoni has been instructing our son, who is 8 years old, for the last several months and I wanted to comment on how pleased we are. Matt is very much a professional, and it is wonderful for our community to have a piano teacher of such high caliber available locally. Normally one would have to travel to NYC to get this level of instruction. Finally, I would like to point out that Matt is very patient. If you happen to have a special ed child, like one with ADHD, Matt is the perfect teacher.

I have been taking piano lessons from Matt for about a year now. I contacted him when I was 31 years old. I had always wanted to play piano but thought it may be too difficult to start learning at that point. He proved me wrong! I couldn't have asked for a more patient and kind teacher. His studio environment is both comfortable, professional and charming. He teaches you at the speed that best suits you and gives you the confidence you need to keep wanting to play. I look forward to growing as a musician and I have him to thank for it.

To be a great teacher...not just a good teacher...but a great one, a person must love teaching and love students. Matt Testoni has both qualities. He truly enjoys teaching students how to play the piano and rejoices in their growth and skills accomplishments. He truly makes taking piano lessons fun. I have had the pleasure of observing Mr. Testoni teach. As a music teacher myself for over 30 years I can say that Mr. Testoni implements many of the same techniques in his work that I use. He is very knowledgeable in teaching piano technique as well as the musical aspects in learning. He brings a positive demeanor to his work and takes great care in bringing only the best to all of his students.
