Comments I attended St. Nicholas from K in 1956 when I was 4, til 8th grade graduated June 20,1965. My Dad and his 4 siblings attended school there. My parents were married in St Nicholas church and my siblings and cousins also attended. Very sorry to hear of the school closing. 💙SNS

Comments Its funny that at almost 83, when you look back at a great life, one of the most important chapters were the early ones at St.Nicholas School. I graduated in 1955 and most of our class did some wonderful things. We had a NJ judge, a few Catholic Sisters, a Wall Street tycoon, a Doctor of eminent psychology, policemen, teachers, a radio personality in Virginia, a successful Politician, and many others. I graduated from Dickinson HS, Rutgers University and spent two years in Vietnam....I enjoyed a baseball career that lasted two and a half seasons but how many guys can say they struck out Mickey Mantle! My greatest joy has been my family and my two grandsons, Dominic who is a Senior in HS looking at Colleges and my twelve year old Dean who attends Trinity Regional Catholic School here on Long Island. For anything worthwhile to stand for a long time a good foundation must be in place. The education I received at St. Nicholas allowed me to become a Regional Manager of Chevrolet's Eastern Regional Office for General Motors. I have a visit

Comments I am a 1964 graduate of St. Nick's. I am a lifelong parishioner of the parish. Currently I am on the Gala Committee to raise funds for the repair of the bell tower. LETTERS HAVE BEEN SENT to ALUMNAE that we have addresses for, the mailing list is very limited and dated mostly from 1950-to 1990. Comments I attended SNS from Kindergarten through 8th grade and graduated in 1966. Sister Valenta was principal when I began my studies and rapped my knuckles with a ruler on my very first day of class. Miss Battersby presided over the kindergarten like an iron maiden. I have been a lawyer in New York and New Jersey for 30 years and served as a municipal court judge in Union County, New Jersey. I owe my sense of ethics, diligence, and passion for life long learning to the principles I acquired at St. Nicholas School. Thank you very much.
