Comments My Grandparents lived in Alden. Their name was Hawley, one of the original families from just after the Civil War. I spent many summers there in the 1950's and even went to Mancelona High School for awhile. Wonderful place. It will always be part of my core... and who I turned out to be.

Comments My husband had the pleasure of staying with friends in Alden on Torch Lake. It is the most beautiful, friendliest, quiet, and peaceful town that we have been to in a long time. We enjoyed it so much that we are thinking about renting something for the summer next year.
