Comments Hello Robert I just finished reading the beautiful book you wrote about your unwanted dealings with the death of your beloved Jeri. I to am walking the death Virgin walk.I lost my Fiancee 11 months ago to a heart attack.He was here one minute,gone the next. I have seen alot of death in older patients,and i watched my Mother die as a 14 year girl in Ireland,but i knew nothing of death until I lost my first and only love. You are right, this loss is completely different from losing others in your World. I am also a recording artist in Nashville,but, trying to write a song about this heartbreak is just to over whelming for me.It always ends in tears and blackness feelings. I have given up on that for now,as the black feelings are not welcome. Brian and myself were trying to conceive our first child together.The night he died, we were laughing at the Irish name I wanted if it were a boy.Cuchulann was the name I spoke of.Brian laughed at that name.He stated he will have to check that on the internet more.An hour or so later I was des

Comments After losing my own soulmate of 30+ years to a 15-month battle with colon cancer, a cousin recommended Robert's book. I really didn't believe that any man could love his wife like I loved my AnneMarie, but there are many parallels. We, too, worked together... first when she had to work from my engineering blueprints. For the past 16 years, we owned and operated one of the most popular craft beer bar/restaurants between NYC and Albany, NY. I have been overwhelmed by the tasks that I must now continue doing without her, and it is daunting. I have not yet finished the book, but will likely re-read it again immediately after completion, to better digest it. Perhaps I'll do it at her graveside. Thank you for writing the book, Robert. I'm sure that my pain will ease, and I'll gather strength from your candor. God bless our wonderful wives...

Comments While vacationing from CA summers 05-07 met Jeri surfing at Canoes. Couldn't help to notice her prowess as an acomplished surfer as well as her full-length UV suit. After many years of being out of touch, I was looking for Jeri to get her latest recommendations on Greek Islands - places she loved to visit and report on with her wonderful energy and passion. My brief time interacting with her while I was at Sun Micro (OMG) and she at Tandem, left a lasting impression. Reading the news now, I feel a tangible loss. My best wishes to Robert.

Comments Jeri was a wonderful person and it's sad that her time here wasn't longer. But she certainly did manage to do more than most people do in two lives. I had the pleasure to work for her in the 1990s and she was one of the finest managers I've ever worked for. Not only whip smart, but fun, funny and graceful. I'll think of her the next time I'm out in the Pacific.

Comments I first met Jeri in 1981 when we had a Halloween party at the house my wife and I had just moved into. Bob's girlfriend came dressed as a belly dancer - little did I know. She knocked the socks off everyone present. Like the green long persistence phosphor computer screens of the time, over the next decade, friends kept asking when we'd have another party like one where Jeri danced. Since that time we got to know her and find she was also a wonderful person. She will live on in our memories.
