Salton Sea is a place that I hope will regain the fame and luster that it once had. The condition it is in today brings tears as I read and see what has happened. I just hope that an agreement can be put in place to see this wonderful body of water can be saved. I am now 70 years of age and I hope to visit this area so rich in history.The best to all of you that are trying to save the Salton Sea!

I've camped at Salton Sea since the 50's. I knew it back when. I pray that the sea is saved because I still take my grand children their to this date. Camped at Salt Creek a few months ago and although I don't go in the water any longer, there is still such beauty to be appreciated their. I love it and don't want to lose it. How can I help?

I have always been curious about Salton City and recently have been researching properties in the area. I have also heard about some areas being used to house people on government assistance so I am not sure which area is appropriate for my family. Many of us are praying for the County of Imperial Valley which includes most of the Salton Sea. God can surly do a miracle there! Is skiing still allow there? Swimming? Any sharks there? or is it too salty. Plan to visit your museum soon.

I stumbled on a webpage showing the devistating photos of buildings and towns located on the Salton Sea and wanted to know more about the history of this place. I found your page and could see the potential for restoring this place to its original beauty. I love history and looking at the original buildings shown on your site made me sad when I compared it to the current photos but it also gave me hope that it could one day be returned to its original glory.

My grandparents Ray and Dolsie Ellis had a vacation home at the Salton Sea and I spent many weekends boating and off roading there between 1960 and 1975. I think I was 6 or 7 years old when I was named the youngest to ski acrossed the salton sea. My grandparents and parents Don and Iris Ellis were involved in the Salton Sea Treasure Trails, the Salton City Dune Busters and The Salton Sea Beach Helldivers. I have many great memories of the Salton Sea.
