David - I just took a look at your work; both the Model A and the Celebrity. Wow! I thought that I did pretty good work with my hands, but you're in a different league! I can tell that you and your family have really enjoyed these unique and special projects. And while they took a long time the happiness is evident on the faces of your friends and family. The sense of satisfaction must be incredible. I am 52 years old and have always enjoyed flying but my wife isn't crazy about me getting a license to fly. I came upon your site because I found a Celebrity for sale at: https://stlouis.craigslist.org/wan/5394878740.html. Would love your thoughts on that plane. I'm curious what your total ballpark investment was to build your plane? I believe that the greatest satisfaction would be from constructing it yourself and taking it out on the field for the first time. Again, your skill level, dedication and attention to detail are just incredible! Best of everything that life has to offer! Sincerely, Chris Vah

I bought & imported a low-hours Celebrity w/ R2800 radial engine (ex N69AGM) out of Florida last year and have spent the last 10 months civilizing it. Doing final W&B gives me an MTwt of 753lbs which means I need to have ~245lbs in the rear cockpit to get within the Fwd CofG limit. I see your Celebrity has an MTwt of 792 lb so have to ask - did you encounter this CofG anomoly and if so, how did you get around it to end up with such a practical-looking aircraft? Enjoyed all aspects of your page. tks n rgds r

Thanks for making this site available to the public. I'm rebuilding a Starduster SA100 single seat biplane. Looking for a 2 seater to fly light sport, and your site has really been a good source of information. Enjoy your plane! Your kids grew up like mine thinking everyone's house has airplane parts in it and everyone's dad is a pilot! I built a KR-2 a long time ago.

Hi I am interested in how bi planes are built and stumbled across your site recently. I was wondering how exactly the wings/frame of the aircraft are covered. Is it some type of canvas coated with a varnish? is there a website or book that explains the methods and materials of covering the various parts of an aircraft frame? Thanks and congratulations on building a great plane.

Hi Dave! Finished repairing my plane, N500 BC. Flown it a bit without the wheel pants. What IAS do you get at cruise? at WOT (2750RPM) I get about 73 mph. Climb rate sucks! Well not really, only get high density altitudes here, 1500 to 3000 on hot n humid days. I posted a few videos on youtube look up fisher Celebrity over San Pedro. Cheers! Efraim

Do you have any idea what brought the empty weight of the plane up so high? I am interested in building a Celebrity but the low payload may be a deal breaker.Any additional insights into the plane would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brad

Thanks for the build pictures. I'm 6'3 and wondering if this would fit me. The front seat looks really hard to fit into. I like the fisher designs and would love input from a builder. We're you happy with the company and the plans? Thanks for the info.

David, I am really interested in building a celebrity and am wondering about seat placement. I am 6'4" and 205 lbs, is it possible to build with the seat lower and the rudder pedals further forward? Thanks, I hope mine comes out as pretty as yours, you sure did a great job.
