A message to the family.. Marlene and Nile are from the Chariton area and Marlene graduated with Jim, Nile graduated with Debbie. Two sibling losses in a short time period is devastating for the survivors and our sympathy is extended to all. Prayers go out to all of the family and friends. We did not know Tom but from talking to family and reading the obituary, sounds like we missed knowing a pretty nice guy and a fun character to be around. Nile would have enjoyed the political conversations and Marlene could have helped cheer for ISU. Again, we are sorry about the loss.

A message to the family.. I'm so sorry for your loss. I so enjoyed having Tom visit our Toastmasters club. Although he preferred listening to speaking in a meeting, his delightful humor always shined through. Also, I was on his UPS route so, whenever a UPS truck drove by, I'd looked to see if it was Tom. I will miss him.

A message to the family.. Tom was my brother in law but more importantly he was the epitome of what a true and righteous man should be. He was a gentle, humble man who was strong in his convictions and his stature. He had a quick smile and a great sense of humor. I suppose there is no such thing as a perfect man --except for the one who walked on this earth 2017 years ago-- but Tom was close! He dearly loved his wife, Kathy, and his sons, Sean, Chris and Nick along with Nick's wife, Katie, and his two grandsons, Blake and Owen. Blake and Owen often brought a quick smile to his face! I will miss him very much and hope I am worthy enough to connect up with him someday in heaven where he is sharing old times with his father and sister. Rest in Peace my dear friend!
