As the founder of a local charity, I have had the opportunity to send some of the kiddos we serve to a Steve's Dream baseball game. I have received the most amazing reviews! These families face so much everyday, and a day out on the field gives them the fuel they need to keep going! This season, my family was gifted our own tickets, as my sister and I have a chronic illness. It truly was a magical day! It was so fun to have Mike give us the inside scoop on all the cool secrets, such as the best place to get player signatures. My sisters were in awe as they met players and had them sign a ball gifted by Mike. The seats at the game were amazing! We had so much fun watching the players so close by! It really was a day full of making memories that will last a lifetime! A huge thank you to Mike at Steve's Dream for giving others the opportunity to experience the magic I know you experienced with Steve.

Our grandsons first ever baseball game! He just starting playing t-ball (for the Cubs ironically enough) since completing his chemo treatment for leukemia! This was an awesome day for not just Mikey but for Grammie and Papa too!!! Thank you!!!

We had a wonderful time as a family watching the cubs game this past week. I have two daughters who suffer from chronic illness. Life can be difficult navigating around their illness. Going to the game was a chance to escape and create memories together. What a pleasure it is to honor Steve and his memory and to share in his passion for baseball. We enjoyed getting signatures from the players on the balls you gifted us. It was even more fun to watch them on the field after having briefly met them getting signatures. It was truly a day to remember! Thank you for sharing Steve’s Dream with our family! It truly was a pleasure and an honor!!

We met Steve today outside of Sloan park and what a blessing it was. We loved his story and hope that through Steve’s Dream families would simply be reminded how precious the love is between a parent and child. Today we hugged our kids a little harder, found absolute joy in their joy of sitting in their ‘dream seats’ and committed to spending more time counting our blessings and less time sweating the small stuff. We were gifted tickets from Steve’s Dream (through Neeley’s Joy) to attend a Cubs game with our family. Our daughter has a rare bone disease that makes walking difficult. It was nice to sit in the shade (so grateful for the shade) and enjoy a game together. Mike is so generous and we enjoyed the experience so much (it was 2 of our kids’ first time at a spring training game). Thankful for Steve’s dream and that Mike is carrying it on for other families to experience a Cubs game. Thank you again!

My husband and I attended a Cubs Spring Training game this afternoon with tickets from Steve's Dream. We are so grateful to have been able to spend a carefree afternoon together while our medically complex daughter was at preschool. My husband has always been an avid Cubs fan. Two weeks before we got married in 2016, the Cubs won the World Series. Kevin cried (there were no tears at our wedding:). I'm 7 months pregnant with our son and we hope to have many similar experiences at sporting events with our children. Thank you to Steve's Dream organization and all of those individuals who work to make the lives of families, especially those with medical complexities, that much better.

Steve’s Dream was nice enough to give our family tickets to the Cubs spring training game on March 20th, 2022. It was a pleasure meeting Mike and hearing about his son Steve and the great memories they made while watching baseball. Our daughter, Viera, was diagnosed with brain cancer when she was seven years old. She has endured a lot in her life, and we were so blessed to be able to spend a few hours at the ballpark not thinking about any of that! The kids loved getting autographs and eating their way through the ballpark. We met Mike in March 2014 while visiting the Cubs and not having tickets with our 6 year old. I was going through old photos and came across the Steves Dream pamphlet that Mike gave us and it brought back so many great memories. Today we visited Sloan Park to catch Chicago Cubs spring training batting practice. We were approached by a man, Mike, who asked to share his story with us. He shared that he founded a nonprofit organization, Steve's Dream, in memory of his son, who passed away in 2002 at the age of 24. Since that time, Steve's Dream has donated nearly 2,000 Cubs Spring Training tickets to fathers and sons, and Mike said he wanted to donate the tickets to our family today. His only caveat was that we have fun and make memories as a family. He then fed us lunch, gave us balls for kids to have autographed and gifted our family with seats (in the shade!) where we all enjoyed getting to see the players close-up and even snagged a few game balls. He reminded us that we can grow from our losses and be a blessing to others. Thank you, Mike, for making such a difference to so many families through Steve's Dream!

Mike, It was an absolute pleasure meeting you. Being a single mom to 6 amazing boys (3of then having medical issues) I don’t have money to treat my kids to a game like this. This was the first game any of my boy have ever been to. They had a blast!! My twins both have cerebral palsy, developmental delays, one twins is legal blind and my other son has heart complications. With all of that and just day to day things getting out and enjoying family time at the CUBS game was what we needed. I can’t thank you enough for this opportunity. You have the biggest heart and a blessing to my boys and I . God Bless You ❤️

We had the pleasure of taking in a baseball game on March 9, 2019. My son has epilepsy and other medical issues but he still loves baseball. Our whole family loves baseball. Mike, We wanted to say Thank You so much for an incredible afternoon at the ball park! It was so nice to meet you and to see what kind of an impact you and Steve's Dream are having on so many lives! The seats were amazing! This was Le Le's first time at a real ball game and she absolutely loved it. Every time one of the players would finish at bat she would raise her hand and say my turn my turn! She wanted so badly to go take her turn at bat! It was so fun to see her get autographs from some of the players and to top it all off we were surprised when lead singer for Pearl Jam Eddie Vedder (my favorite band / singer) showed up by the dug out and was talking with the players. Mike - thank you so much for giving our family an amazing day watching the Cubbies spring training at Sloan Park. Our daughter Kennedy has a condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and has been through 2 open heart surgeries (she's only 3 years old). The afternoon started out great by Mike introducing us to Hall of Fame 2nd Baseman Ryne Sandberg who met Kennedy and signed a baseball for her. The seats to the game were amazing, we got to say hello to managers and players as they entered the dugout. At the end of the game, the equipment manager threw us game used baseballs for both kids. What an amazing day! Thank you Mike and Steve's Dream for giving our family memories we will never forget!
