Comments I am heart broken I am for you and your family. Casey was a beautiful girl and I am beyond sorry for your loss. No one should ever have to suffer from ITP. I just got diagnosed with ITP in November and decided to share my story. I will be planning a walk and donating money to PDSA. Comments My heart goes out to you and your family! My daughter was diagnosed with chronic ITP June of 2011- she has had 11 different treatments, and still nothing will raise her counts to above a 2K. You have lived threw my worst nightmare, keep up the good work in spreading the awareness!!

Comments I am a mother to a 7 year old boy who was diagnosed with ITP at age 3. At the time he was diagnosed his platelet count was estimated at less than 1k. We were living abroad in Italy and this was a very horrible and scary time for us. We spent several months in the very low single numbers and finally got stateside 2 months later. We battled ITP for many more months before his counts finally stabilized. He did well until last June when he relapsed. Today when I came across your post I heartbroken to see that you lost your beautiful baby to this horrible disease. I am often baffled in the lack of education about ITP especially in the medical community. Thank you for all you are doing to raise awareness about ITP.

Comments I'm thrilled to see there is a way to raise awareness of ITP. My daughter was diagnosed when she was 2, and we had never heard of it before. We had 6 months of complete terror. She is almost 10, but the fear never ends that every time she gets a big bruise, it's something worse. My sympathies for your loss, and may your efforts create knowledge and understanding among parents and medical professionals.
