Comments My child Hunter was diagnosed with ITP at the age of 5. We were at childrens everyday for about 3 months. At that time we only knew of one other child that had ITP. Now it's unbelieveable how many children we know who have had ITP or has it now. He's 11 now and currently doing good. It scares me everday I look at him and see another bruise. We are going to do "Casey's Cause" this year and it will be our 1st year.

Comments We LOVE Casey's Cause! I met Christine in 2008. My son had ITP in 2005. He is no longer affected by ITP, however having ITP changed our lives forever. I'm so thankful for Christine and her willingness to share Casey's story/life with us. This will be our third year at the 5k!

Comments I'm so excited to get to run the 5k again this year! Hopefully it won't rain like last year! We registered Hailey-bug for the 1mile, and she's already ready to run! Last year she had been out of the hospital for about 2-3 weeks, after a 54 day stint. Thankfully she will actually be able to run this time, like she wanted to the last! Mrs. Christine, we'll have to find you, so you can meet my "bug"! If there's anything we can do to help this year and years to come, let me know!See you next Saturday!!!! P.S. I'll be that crazy mom you'll see pushing 70pounds of kids around in a 60pound double jogging stroller!

Comments Gave my speech today for Toastmasters about Casey's Cause. Won the blue ribbon and the trophy. Several told me in written evaluation notes that the speech made them feel like they know and love Casey too and now know about ITP! I know at least one donation was made and others promised. May your legacy live on, little Casey, and May your light continue to shine thru all of us whose lives you have touched.

Comments I can't imagine the loss of a child, I have been so Blessed. I was diagnosed with ITP 20 years ago. Still don't know the cause. I have had two bone marrow biopsies, I'm very lucky! My platelets vary between 50 and 85. I just try to be careful that I get no injuries.

Comments WOW! Talk about God's perfect timing! I happened to be searching online for local walks/runs that I could participate in when I came across this one. MY MOTHER HAD ITP! I really want to do all I can to help you all, because I personally have seen the effects this disease can have on a person's life.
