Comments I visited the museum the first week it opened with some guys from work (very long lunch break). What a great testament to one of the greatest collegiate atheletic programs in the nation. Totally first-class, just like everything about Tar Heel basketball (with the emphasis on "class" more than "first"). Every fan should visit, then pause and give thanks for every individual player, coach, and staff member who have dedicated themselves to this tradition of excellence though the years.

Comments What an experience. I was lucky enough to visit the museum for a couple of hours, not near long enough, a couple of weeks ago. If you are a true Carolina fan it will give you chills. It is so impressive that there is no way to describe it, you have to experience it. I hope this website will entice you even more. I was lucky enough to play on the JV team for coach Williams in the early 80's and it is an experience that I will never forget. Coach Williams is a true gentleman and is still an influence on my life to this day. Please don't miss this great opportunity if you are ever in Chapel Hill. Thanks to UNC basketball for all the memories! Jeff Payne '86

Comments There is no words to describe the feeling that I felt when I walked through the doors of the basketball museum. It is filled with all things that make Carolina basketball special family, tradition, and excellence. Everyone that was involved with this project should be extremely proud of their hard work and dedication to this beautiful facility. In two trips, I have spent nearly three hours in the museum and still feel like I have a lot more to see. I look forward to seeing more hardware and memoribilia added in the coming years!!!!

Comments A great experience - every sports fan (except overly sensitive Dookies) should make an effort to visit this museum in person. Even for someone like myself who has followed every moment of Carolina Basketball since the 1957 championship, it is amazing to see the wide range of memorabilia that no one person could have accessed alone without the effort to create this splendid museum. Thanks to all who contributed, David Barrow, class of '75, PhD class of '83, usher 2004-present.

Comments Wow. I came all the way from St. Paul to see my first Tar Heel game (I am 14) and the museum made the experience even better! I first read about it at tarheelblue.com and couldn't wait to see it. It is an amazing collection of memorabilia. I enjoyed the museum immensely and spent over an hour and a half in it. There is so much cool stuff to be seen, and it provides a great look in to the past of basketball at the University. It was a magical experience. I can't wait to come back!

Comments My wife and I visited the museum for my birthday. What a wonderful experience! UNC and especially Tar Heel Basketball is all about class and the attention to detail. From the openning video (which brought a tear to my eye) to the exhibits to the videos and the March Madness room everything in the museum is designed to give you a sense of "being there". I look forward to returning to appreciate the history again but to also see how current and future players and coaches add to the legacy that is TAR HEEL BASKETBALL!
