Comments Mostly stocked sized rainbows of 7 - 10 inches. Lost several near net. Fishing was difficult for opening weekend. Used small spinners. Did hook and almost land a large walleye - over 3 pounds easily (probably more upset with losing it than some of the trout I lost.)Water was a little high and algae clumps floating. Will return soon.

Comments Only had a short time to fish. Tried multiple flies (nymphs, woolly buggers) with no luck. Crowded for opening weekend, but still room for me and others. Will be back to give it a better try when I have more time. Great website - thanks.

Comments The members of CITU, the IDNR and the city of Brookville, Indiana should be extremely proud of the current status of the Brookville tailwaters. The idea of regulating it so that only one brown trout can be creeled daily and establishing the 18" length limit on it is a regulation that should be rolled out on all streams nationwide.

Comments We caught 12 fish in the first hour. Chartreuse size 16 copper jon and a bead head pheasant tail worked best. The water dropped about 6 inches and the fishing went from great to very slow. No one else was fishing.

Comments Fishing was hot from 9:30-11:00am- everything taken on a copper john or a bead head pheasant tail. Browns looked wonderful- nice and healthy. Couldn't believe how many people were fishing given it was a Tuesday! Probably saw 8 other fishermen. Also saw a beautiful group on Indigo Buntings- great day on the water.

Comments All fish were caught on prince nymphs. Fishing was slow until the sun hit the water at about 9am. I thought the carp was going to be the biggest trout I had ever caught, but was still fun. All the trout were fat and energetic. Many other fishermen on the water, only a few were bait guys. Wonderful weather and good fishing made for a great day on the water.
