Tained as deckboy for twelve weeks from march 1966 and sailed from King George the fifth docks with Shaw Saville line after the seamans strike.I never made a career at sea but am glad to find that the Vindi is not forgotten.I still have my best book.

I was a Vindi boy in June/July 1965 for 3 months. Billet A4. Bosuns Joe Moses and Popeye. Went on to serve 18 years at sea, AB. Dis A No R820752. I had 3 amazing months on the T S Vindicatrix, fond memories.

I was on the training ship Vindicatrix from June 1956 until September of the same year.Spent time there with my cousin Edward Gillespie and other friends from Glagow George Hendry,Willie Monaghan and Willie Goggins. My discharge book number was R639245.

DB No R564957 Deck from 14/9/51 to 16/11/51 I was in Hut C2 Sadly I cannot remember names of anyone but should anyone from that group have a photo it would be appreciated. Swallowed the anchor in 1962 and joined wallasey fire service. Emigrated to Dunedin NZ in 1969 and retired from that after 28 years in 1997.
