As I was feeding my calves this morning, I couldn't help but to stop to listen to you on the morning show with Ron. I graduated with Jenni, and she has been in our thoughts as we plan a 15 year reunion. We planned it for the evening of the Homecoming game, which happens to be Oct.6th. Because nobody really was interested in planning a reunion, it is just a simple gathering for the football game and a social time at the White House afterwards. If you or any members of your family would like to join us, you are welcome. We were trying to think of some way to honor Jenni when we got together, but we all are guilty of shying away from things that seem "morbid" I guess you might say. Actually we have had so few responses to our invitation we were thinking of not even printing the directory we planned. Hopefully people are just procrastinating. Jenni's mother is my high school classmate and friend. Judy has always been known for her forthrightness in her dealings with others, so you can trust that her book is from the heart and based on her true emotions and life experience. Having lost my youngest sibling to a motorcycle accident on his 22nd birthday in 1987, I know Judy's pain. Kudos to Judy for her courage in the writing of this book.

Thank you, John and Judy, for allowing me to remember with you your beautiful daughter, Jenni. The Father knows what it is like to lose a child to death. Yet because of that death, and His resurrection, I am thankful we no longer have to fear death. John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die. Your book is a beautiful tribute and memorial to your daughter. Our children are a vital part of our lives and when God calls them home before us, a void is left in our lives that can't be filled. I know because I have that void in my life too. My son died April 18, 2005 at age 29 from a sudden illness. As parents we miss our children so much but our faith in God gives us hope because we will be reunited with them again and God gives us strength to carry on. May God bless many through your testimony through your book because I know you have surely blessed me!

I bought your book this afternoon and just finished it an hour ago. I worked with John at GTE and I remember the day we heard that Jenni died. My daughter was only one at the time and that night, as I watched her sleep, I wondered how John & his wife would ever survive through this tragedy. Judy, you and your book, are an inspiration. I am going to send it on to a friend who's son committed suicide several years ago. I think your journey will help her on hers.
