I liked the video I Fought the Law 1966 by Bobby Fuller Four on You tube. I asked who the dancers were and what would they be doing now. De De recently told me who she was and who they were as a dance group. I was impressed

I appeared in Episode 40 with The Fugitives. One of the members recently died and we are having a memorial service for him and would love to get a copy of that episode. Any help or suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks Allen

So I got a question. Is there a list of the winners of the Miss Gazzarri Dancers and if so who won in 1973? It's actually really important. Please e-mail.

Searched YT for Bo Diddley vids and the HAGG showed up. I am now practically obsessed with the Gazarri dancers. So much youthful energy and shows the vibe of WeHo in the mid 60's. I immigrated to LA in 1971 and would missed out on the Sunset Blvd scene when it really counted.

This is a fascinating site of the Hollywood-A-Go-Go and its history, with plenty of talented stars whom have been in the music business for a good number of years. I'm saddened when I discovered two of the original members of The Gazzarri Dancers dance troupe have passed away, while others have moved on to other endeavors or retired to private life. However, I'm very pleased and honored to have as friends in my Facebook page, Deanna "DeDe" Mollner (who was the lead dancer of The Gazzarri Dancers), and lead vocalist Howard Kaylan of The Turtles (whom, along with Mark Volman, danced with DeDe, as The Turtles sang their rousing chorus in "It Ain't Me Babe"). I was only 6 years old when The Turtles appeared on the Hollywood-A-Go-Go program. The band, however, went through at least a couple of changes in the line-up, mainly on bass and drums between 1966 and 1969. In the show, Chuck Portz was on bass, along with Don Murray on drums. Sadly, Don Murray passed away in 1996. And there were other music stars who

Jim: You really have done a very professional job with your research on the Dancers. As you know I have personal knowledge of Beryl Hammond and went to grade school with here in Dayton, Ohio back in 1948-1950 she always wanted to be part of the Hollywood scene and with a lot of hard work made it to degree. Keep this puppy alive, you got the attention of some nice fans and former Dancer. Bob

My June Fairchild story: I went to The Trip nightclub around 20 times between Sept. 1965 and Mar. 1966, frequently noticing June there. She was totally out of my league; usually she was sitting at the special tables off the left side of the dance floor. In addition to her beauty and dance talent, her personality, charm, sense of humor (which was obvious when she would Statue dance), frivolity, and dance energy attracted and entertained me. From June's autobiography: "...a very popular Nightclub 'THE TRIP'. Us dancers after filming, would always drop in to dance some more! Everyone loved it when we showed up!" Well I sure did! I liked to go to The Trip early so I could get a fairly good table. Performers I saw there included Barry McGuire, The Byrds, The Leaves, The Grass Roots, The Muthers, The Sinners. One night The Grass Roots were a few songs into their opening set and nobody had yet "broken the ice" on the dance floor. A good song started, I took a deep now-or-never breath, walked over and asked June to dance. She ac

[continued post]...She accepted and for the first half of the song we were the only ones on the dance floor, then other couples also started dancing. That was the only time I ever spoke to her, and I never danced with her again. But throughout the years I have always regarded it as one of my life's peak moments: 19-year-old me, breaking the ice on the dance floor at The Trip with Gazzarri Dancer June, while The Grass Roots were singing the lyrics "Ain't that lovin' you baby, and you don't even know my name." Perfecto. From June's autobiography: "...'The Trip Nightclub' (hottest club in town)...Us Gazzarri Dancers performed there by tearing up the dance floor when we felt like it." And once, just once, I won the cosmic lottery and June Wilson and I tore up the dance floor at The Trip together.

Years ago, when Gazzarris was torn down, one of the guys doing the demolition rescued 4 pictures that hung on the club walls ...they are about 18" x 24" and in cheap painted red frames...I believe they are of the Gazzarri dancers, anyway I purchased them from him and they now hang on the wall of my spare bedroom, always makes a good story when people ask who the heck are these girls...if you would like, I will take some pics of them and let everyone see them.

DeDe Mollner you are the best. I love watching you doing the Mashed Potato on Dee Dee Sharps clip on Youtube. You appear to be the only dance that really knew how to do it.

Thanks so much for helping me to understand the part my Aunt Deanna played in music history. "Dede" had told me on several occasions that she'd been a go-go dancer. I thought that was cool but really had no idea what that actually meant. I've always revered my aunt for many reasons, but this just adds some substance to my regard for her. I know you worked incredibly hard to put this all together and so I wish to express my deep gratitude for all your efforts!

Hi, I read with interest the on-line article about Hollywood A Go Go; However, in no place was mentioned about the last episode from England, "CHEERIO A GO GO" I saw this when it was broadcast back in 1965, but have not seen it since, because it's not available on video anywhere But I remember it well: It showcased various British music stars lip-syncing to their hits around different locations in London: it had MANFRED MANN doing 2 songs; THE ZOMBIES; SANDIE SHAW; MARIANNE FAITHFULL; THE KINKS doing 2 songs at the night club on "Eel Pie Island"; HERMAN of Herman's Hermits doing an interview at Piccadilly Circus; an interview (only) with the ROLLING STONES at their London flat with Sam Riddle; and the ending showed the BEATLES getting off the plane with "Eight Days a Week" playing in the background! WHERE is this episode??? I would love to see it again any

Excellent - GREAT website. Found it by (I think) back-dooring from 'Hollywood Hangover' Really well done and it brought back so many great & pleasant memories. Just the songs / artists listed in the episode(s) guide is a memorable trip in itself, but the site as a whole is an absolute monster. Truly good medicine for the soul. I'm guessing you really put your heart into this, and it shows - it's like a love letter to a wonderful time that I was lucky enough to enjoy as well. Thanks so much for all the hard work and the great memories, pictures, vids and stories you share. Bookmarking this for later returns, and here's hoping you keep adding to the site. Thanks for everything you share here. All the best.

Wow! It's great to put a name to the amazing dancers that I see in the back ground of the Hollywood A Go-Go videos. Even better to read a little bit about their lives and what else they went on to do. It's amazing to have a bunch of beautiful women who can dance so well and are so cool to boot. My favorite is the Dee Dee Sharp "Mashed Potato Time" video. Great work.

Thank you for this incredible page, this and Groovy are my favorite television shows of all time, and my teacher, Joe Keene, was the director of Hollywood a Go Go. Barbi Benton was a part of the show as well, she needs a page. I write about the show extensively in my book "Riot on Sunset Strip: Rock 'n' Roll's Last Stand in Hollywood" and also helped talk about it in Mark Weingarten's book "Station to Station" which covers the history of rock 'n' roll on television. One very important suggestion, the colors and text on the page make the writing very difficult to read, it is worth the effort to re-arrange this. Your page is too cool for the text to be overlooked.
