I went to Gazzari's, It's Boss, and Hulaballoo night clubs, age 16-17 1966-67. I got asked by a scout to be on one episode of "Where The Action Is." I danced with an Asian boy. I don't know if it ever aired. I loved watching all the dance TV shows and remember all the dancers who made the shows great. I knew I was living in the great place of Hollywood, California to be able to go to the clubs and be right there, where all the T.V. shows were filmed. Really fun watching the Gazzarri dancers. Hard to pick a favorite but I do like Dawn a lot (one reason: she is the shortest). I hope some or most of the dancers are on facebook or maybe have their own webpage.

Wow, what a treat! Thank you so much for this wonderful and most pleasent trip back into time. A time when things weren't so complicated and dancing to all of the newest sounds was the thing to do for all of us back then. Watching these fabulous dancers taught me and my girlfriends how to dance and how to so it with style and class. I can't wait to visit the youtube links provided here to relive those precious moments. Once again, thanks for providing all of the wonderful info, photos and memories. What a treat! : )

I first saw Dale Vann as a 16 year old teenager in Nov 1961 in Chicago at the Erlanger Theatre in "Bye Bye Birdie" (Teen Trio) and immediately fell in love with her; I saw the show 3 times but never met her. I saw Dale perform again in Jan 1962 at the Del Prado Hotel in the Robert Simpson "Hits of Broadway" in Chicago. She was terrific, but I was too bashful to approach her. Sad to learn of her passing, but although she never knew it, she touched many peoples lives in a positive way while here. May she rest in peace.

I was a showgirl in "The International Follies", in St. Louis, at the Chase-Park Plaza Hotel...and met the featured Maldonado Dancers of which Jackie was a member. I was totally in awe of her beauty and talent. There aren't words to describe the thrill of that time of my life to be rubbing shoulders with such incredible performers. I wish I could have just had one cup of coffee with her this side of Jordan, but she was waaaaay out of my league. :-) God bless you Jackie, heavenly dancer.

Dawn Michaels one of the Gazzarri Dancers is a friend of mine. I was one of the Discotheque Dancers also that toured with the Beatles in 1965. On Dawn's page you have a few photos in two rows of shots from Shea Stadium when we danced with the Beatles, one of them is not Dawn it is me, the top one on the left. Is Dawn still alive?

What a pleasant surprise to discover this site! Enjoyed reading the history and details of the Gazzarri Dancers - I watched many episodes Saturday night from my home in Laurel Md as a 14 year old teenager. Although I thoroughly enjoyed the show, I must confess that as a young adolescent my eyes were riveted on Deanne. I thought she was the most beautiful woman on earth.

Great page about great dancers. After watching the Gazarri Dancers on the youtube video of Bobby Fuller's I Fought The Law I was inspired to write a screenplay about a young man who falls madly in love with a dancer he sees on a youtube video. But the problem of course is the video he watches is from 40 years ago. You can read the synopsis at the homepage link.

I grew up with Dale on Serrano Ave in Hollywood. We use to hang around together and get in troubl together and her mom took my first professional pictures. Her Mom would remember me. My sister lived in the same apartment building as Margo and Dale on Carlton Way. Dale and I met the Beach Boys together cuz they were at HPS.I would love to talk to her mom again.

Lucille Wills lived down the street from me in Pacific Palisades. She was best friends with my sister. I played Gazzarries in a heavy Metal band called Sneak Attack back in the late eighties early nineties. Many fun memories...........

what a great site this is.hollywood a gogo is one of the best music shows ever on tv.the music the dancing girls the free style dancing the whole atmosphere is what makes this show so great.nothing today compares to the music shows of the 1960s,id love to move back to that time,as it was so much fun un like today which is a total drag.those 1960s groups such as the knickerbockers totally rocked. this is a fab totally cosmic web sight.the big beat sounds of the 60s totally flipped me out.

I graduated high school in 1968. The Gazzarri Dancers were the best addition to many of the era's best music groups. Bobbie Fuller Four, "I Fought The Law" seemed to task them to the best of their choreographed ability. That is a super formance.

Hello again, Jim Freyler. I've read your changes made in Lucille Wills info page. And I'm sorry to noticed you that the spelling of the city ends with the word Rey, no "Ray". Sure you know that the city's name is a spanish one, and it means "Navy of the King" (Rey means "King" in english). I'm so sorry about corrected you, but your Gazzarri Dancers web page is a treasure of history info about the music of that era, and also of the beautiful Gazzarri Dancers.
