My grandparents were from Paduli. They lived in East New York, Brooklyn and visited relatives in Oyster Bay. My sister and I visited Paduli about 7 years ago and would like to make another trip. I appreciate your site and will visit often. Grazie tanto, Veronica

My Father was Charles Minicozzi (1927-1979), born to Anthony and Rose Marie Minicozzi. I was very excited to find your web-site. My Father passed away when I was a teen and I do not have much information about that side of my family.

My grand parents and great grandparents were from Paduli... I was told my grandfather, Nicola, changed our spelling from De Iesu to De Jesu, for some mysterious reason. Nice to see my relatives names on your list, those names I only remember dimly from my childhood and see the actual dates they arrived here.

I talked to you beiefly as I was going to Paduli in 2007 because my daughter Amanda was studying abroad in Rome. We then caught up with you again in New York in the summer of 2007 as the Paduli representatives came there. What a lot of work you have done. It was fun seeing my grandparents names in your log. Thanks for all you do!

My name is Shawn Blowers from Upstate New York. I would like to thank you for your time and effort involved in your website. It was very informative. I recently found my Great Grandparent's old passports from Regno D'Italia. Their names were Rocco Mazzeo born 1878 son of Bartolomeo and Frumiento Domenica (kind of hard to read old cursive Italian) from Paduli and Teresa Mazzeo daughter of Gabriele and Albate Maddalena born 1880 from Paduli. It is hard to determine about my great grandmother's Ellis Island arrival because of the spelling errors that were so common at the island. Her maiden name was also Mazzeo (cousins marrying cousins or two different families?) It is hard to find out the exact information because all of my older relatives (grandparents, aunts, uncles) are now deceased or they just didn't know. Like so many Italian American families, the stories and the language has been all but been forgotten with each generation born. (I'm currently 4th generation) And when I took Italian in High School, it wasn't much g

(cont.) Taking Italian in High School wasn't much good because my relatives only spoke the dialect it seems and they couldn't understand me. I plan on visiting where they came from soon. I had always knew that it was Benevento but now I know it was actually Paduli. Thank you again for your site, I plan on visiting here often. Shawn B.

I was so excited when I saw your website in the Long Island Newsday. My grandmother, Alessandra LaRocco and her brother, Rocco LaRocco immigrated from Paduli to this country on 4/10/11. They settled in Jamaica, Queens and my grandmother eventually moved to Syosset, Long Island. My grandmother's sister, married a Minicozzi and moved to Oyster Bay. Thanks for this site and hope to hear from any possible relatives!

This is a fantastic site. I'm so glad I found it. Imagine my surprise when I saw pictures of my grandparents on your site, (Pelligrino Ranaldo and Maria Capozza Ranaldo). Several years ago my wife and I visited Paduli and met our second cousins, Carmine, Raffaelle, and Silvio Ranaldo. They wanted us to stay for a week but we could only stay a few hours. I'll post pictures as soon as possible. Thank you for your tremendous work. Sincerely, Pete Rocco
