Comments I have always been interested in my dads family. We met with David in Crestline 8/31/07. It was just wonderful to share our history with him and he with us. We could not get over how much he looked like so many of us. Thanks for all the work that has went into this information.

Comments Dear David. Very nice site you've built. Hope my investigations on today's occurrence and the geographical distribution of the various spellings of your name were interesting for you. I also hope my investigations regarding the origin of your name were of interest. I wish you good luck and success with your further research. Kind regards, Thierry

Comments My very far back ancestor, Hans Kunlin/Kunle/Kuhnle, was born in Tieferbronn in 1587. His father was Alt Hannss Kunlin who lived in Tiefenbronn and Friolzheim. the name is sometimes spelled Cunlin in early records. Hans, his first wife and 2 sons left Tiefenbronn around 1630 and eventually settled in Endersbach, Wurttemberg. there are so many spelling variations to this surname. the Kuhnlins married into the Hahn family. my great grandfather Johann Daniel Hahn came to the U.S. in 1854. thanks for your informative website, especially about the Tiefenbronn & Pforzheim area.

Comments Thank you so much David. I received the Mramork book/CDs yesterday, and thank you for all that you have done with your efforts to preserve the history and tell the story of Mramorak. Your website has created an unique kind of space in which Mramorak can still exist for people to connect and visit.

Comments My father was Rudolf Kiemle, born in Bosnia, Yugoslavia, January 22, 1909, and his father was Wilhelm(von)Kiemle, born in Germany. His parents moved to Yugoslavia in the 1800's. After my parents and sisters had to flee after the war (via Poland and Austria) we came to Canada in 1951 and lived in Kitchener/Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. My parents who are both deceased would have loved to know that such a site exists, although I did not see any reference to my grandfather or his father. My sister, Erna (Kiemle) Letson, who has also written comments in this GuestBook in 2008, has compiled as much of our history as was available from our parents and relatives. Would love to hear from any relatives who have information or would like to find out more about our family history.

Comments Gruss Gott, Greetings from sunny Florida (for the moment) before hurricaine season. My Serbian family also comes from Mramorak. For at least the past 45 years, through my fathers recounts of events before WW II, during WW II, and after, I have come to understand that Mramorak is the "center of the world". We have the Mramoraker Bildband and I go through it from time to time.
