Comments I'm a newby and pretty clueless with trout so I expected to struggle. Lost a small rainbow that hit a brown bugger. Came accross a group of rising fish. Missed a few strikes, lost one fish. Felt like I was getting the hang of things, but just then the water and moss came rushing in. Water rose a foot in 5 minutes and that was that. Disapponted I didn't land one, but had a good time.

Comments Hooked three that got off quick. Nice brown did three nice aerial jumps before throwing the hook. First time to BTW, very impressed and will be back often. Great work on the fishery, everyone involved.

Comments The water is cold and fast. Try smaller fly patterns. I tried several wooly bugger, size 14, with different colors, and some scuds and eggs in the first 3 hours; and I didn't feel one single bite. Then I flipped out the rock and found plenty of midge nymphs. Size 20 zebra midge black play the tricks. 3 beautiful brown trouts were safely released back to the water.

Comments Overcast day, pleasant temps. I believe the water dropped about six inches in the late morning. Caught two browns (15 inches and 10 inches) and one smallmouth (12 inches).

Comments Saw a lot of trout eating on the bottom but could not catch any despite trying many nymphs and streamers. Did end up catching 2 Bass however on a bead head nymph.

Comments The best day I've had at Brookville over the winter. I landed 3 fish and had 2 other big fish on, but didn't bring them to net. Caught a 15 incher, then a long, lean 21 incher that I don't think was that old because he was so lean and didn't have many hook scars on his mouth or anything,, a beautiful healthy fish. I caught a bruiser 19 inch, fat brown who seemed to be an older fish because he had really bad hook scarring on his mouth. He was a healthy fat boy. Brookville is a great fishery, looking forward for years to come and see and hope the fishery continues to get better. Let's do everything we can to help this fishery succeed and become a really great fishery, which it can be.

Comments Caught a big 4-5 lb. 19.5" brown. The thickest, heaviest fish I've caught at Brookville. A real bruiser. Took atleast 5 mins. plus to bring him to net. Beautiful fish!!

Comments Caught two small browns and one large sucker on BH hare's ear. Pretty slow fishing, not much top-water action. Beautiful day, though, and I caught my first Indiana Brown Trout.

Comments Beautiful day on the BTW. Most caught on basic nymphs. (san juan worm, pheasant tail, hare's ear) 4 holdover fat rainbows. (14-16") Caught an absolutely beautiful 17.5" brown trout.

Comments Another great day on the BTW. Caught mostly fat, holdover rainbows. Biggest was a fat, fat 18" holdover rainbow. Looked like a football. Caught fish on San Juans, and midge emergers.
