I've always hated those commmunion wafers that are given @ Communion Services in most of the churches in America. Finally someone has interpreted the ingredients that was used at the Lord's Passover meal for the bread!

A Friend said the old colony Mennonites in Mexico made a cluster of small round balls, and this was broken from cluster to be served at commnion service. So, I am hunting a recipe for this.

Just want to thank you for the communion recipe. The deaconess in our church that has made the bread for many, many years, has passed away and the task has been given to me to do. I have made 2 other recipes and they didn't turn out well, so will try this one and see what happens.

Thank you for sharing this recipe. My daughter had to make some when making her first communion and it was an easy, simple recipe. The addition of the scripture referencing all of the key ingredients was a nice addition that added to her educational experience.

I am very anxious to try one of the bread recipes. My mother used to make the bread for Holy Sacrament for the church I grew up in when I was a child. She also knew the bible verses to follow. I never had the "interest" as a child but now would like to try to make the bread - maybe surprise our pastor for next communion.

Thank you Dawn for your recipe and best yet, your biblical quotes! I teach RCIC and I had a Bible Bread recipe for unleavened bread that the students had to use the bible quotes to find the ingredients to make the bread. I loaned out the recipe, and never received it back. Alas, you gave it back to me in the nick of time as I prepare students this weekend. I am extremely thrilled and blessed I came upon your site tonight. Thank you for being such an inspiration! May God continue to bless you!
